Suspicious Package at Milwaukee Election Commission Found Harmless, City Hall Evacuated

MILWAUKEE, Wis (WAUK) — A suspicious package delivered to the Milwaukee Election Commission on Friday was found to contain no hazardous materials.

The package prompted a 911 call around 9 a.m. and led to a partial evacuation of City Hall.

Milwaukee Fire Chief Aaron Lipski reported the package posed no danger.

The package will undergo further testing. Election officials were quickly able to resume thier post-election work.
