GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW) – Being of service is very important to Green Bay real estate agent Mike Pritzl. He will be of service over the next two weeks as he heads to Florida to help with Hurricane Milton disaster relief.

Pritzl said he is happy to be a disaster relief volunteer because he has the time and the ability to help.

“Some people give money. And that’s fantastic. Some people can help physically. And that’s great too. Some people have time!” said Pritzl. “I’ve got time. It just feels right. And, I’m going to do it. That’s really the gist of why I do a lot of things in my life. We should help because we can.”

While he has helped with disaster relief for the Red Cross locally for fires, this will be Pritzl’s first out-of-state deployment. He is a little nervous.

“I know it’s not going to be easy. I understand it’s not easy emotionally and physically and being away from your family,” Pritzl said. “Sometimes, we just have to do stuff.”

He said the best way to help is to ask questions, reach out, and make an effort.

“They say, ‘Hey! How’d you get involved?’ Or ‘How can I do that?’ said Pritzl. “It’s not rocket science. Sometimes you just have to take a step and then go for it.”

Hurricane Milton hit the Florida coast Wednesday night as a Category 3 storm spawning at least 45 tornados, 126 tornado warnings, and causing at least 16 deaths.
