GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW & WISS) – Former President Donald Trump visited the Greater Green Bay Area Wednesday. Offering remarks to supporters and voters ahead of the November 5th election and collecting the endorsement of Packers MVP Brett Favre.

Trump walked in to the Resch Center Wednesday night wearing a hi vis safety vest, referring to President Joe Biden’s comment Tuesday that the “only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.”

“I have to begin by saying 250 million Americans are not garbage,” said Trump. “My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple. You can’t lead America if you don’t love Americans. It’s true. You can’t be president if you hate the American people, which I believe they do.”

Trump then spent over an hour and 20 minutes blaming the Biden/Harris Administration for the wars in Ukraine, Afghanistan, and in Israel and Palestine, for inflation, and for illegal immigration

Immigration/Border Control

Trump said Kamala Harris opened the southern border and allowed thousands of people to flow through. People he called criminals.

“They’re emptying their jails. They’re emptying their mental institutions and insane asylums into the United States of America,” Trump said. “And these two stupid people allow it to happen. 13, 000 plus murderers, many of them committed more than one murder, and they’re walking around in our country free and clear to kill again. And they will, they’ll kill many times.”

Trump said on day one he will work to deport illegal immigrants immediately.

“The day I take the oath of office the migrant invasion ends, and the restoration of our country begins,” Trump said as he compared the US to an occupied country. “November 5th 2024 will be liberation day in America. And on day one I will launch the largest deportation program in American history.”

He also said that he would institute the death penalty for any immigrant who kills an American citizen or law enforcement officer.

The Economy

He said to combat inflation he would impliment tarriffs on imports.

“And I will use a thing called – the most beautiful word to me, ever, ever. Not quite. Well, let me say this. Let me say this. How about third. Let’s put ‘religion’ number one. And ‘love’ number two. And then. And then we’ll put the word tarriff number three. Tariff! They’re going to have to pay us to come in and use our wealth and take our jobs and do what they’ve done,” he said.

Trump further explained how he would help the American family by reducing taxes.

“No tax on tips! No tax on overtime! And no tax on social security benefits for our great seniors,” Trump stated. “And I am going to support a tax credit for our family caregivers who take care of their parent or loved one. And they deserve it. Right?”

Brett Favre

Many of those attending the rally were wearing “Number 4” jerseys in anticipation of Green Bay Packers legend and MVP, Brett Favre. Favre said he was there for the future of the nation, referencing his grandchildren.

“I have not done an event like this before. But I decided it’s time. Why? Why? Do I even have to explain why? Because the stakes are incredibly high. Families across Wisconsin are struggling to make ends meet. People’s salaries haven’t kept up with inflation. It’s getting harder for young people to afford their first home. People are losing hope in the American Dream,” Favre said.

He then compared Trump to a winning football team, like the Packers. He said with Trump at the helm, America was a winner and will be a winner again .

“So it’s time to bench Kamala. And put in the star quarterback, Donald Trump!” Favre said.

Eric Hovde

Eric Hovde, a businessman and bank owner, who is running for U.S. Senator against Tammy Baldwin was one of the opening speakers for Trump. He said that Baldwin and the Biden/Harris Administration have ruined the country.

“What does Kamala Harris and Senator Baldwin want to do? They told us four years ago. ‘We want to change America.’ And, man, they sure did and it’s not for the better,” Hovde said. “What do Donald Trump and I want to do? We want to promote and foster a free market capitalist system that has made us the wealthiest country in the history of mankind. What does Senator Baldwin and Kamala Harris want to do? They want to drag us down that path to socialism where only the people at the top benefit.”

Trump and his surrogates all encouraged supporters to vote on November 5th and to vote early if possible.
