GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW & WISS) – Politicians, celebrities, law enforcement officers, and organizations around the country are making endorsements in the 2024 presidential election. You can now add a couple of Great Lakes to the list. Lake Superior endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for the 2024 presidential election on social media site X last week.
Lake Superior, or, rather, its social media team, refers to itself as the G.L.O.A.T or Greatest Lake of All Time. The account on X, formerly known as Twitter, is a tongue-in-cheek, somewhat sassy account used to promote and provide education on the nation’s largest freshwater lake.
In true social media fashion, followers agreed and disagreed.
Even Lake Michigan’s X account joined in the fun.
In August 2023, Lake Superior to on the personification of a presidential candidate and launched the Superior2024.com campaign.
