The “Grey’s Anatomy” star talks about her activism, love for America, and support of women’s reproductive rights on The Maggie Daun Show

Actress Kate Walsh is known for her iconic roles on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice.” Behind the scenes, she’s always been an advocate for women’s rights. Now she is taking on a new mission by campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz with a stop in Wisconsin.

Walsh talks with Maggie Daun, host of The Maggie Daun Show, about her deep concern for the future of the country, particularly regarding women’s reproductive rights and the potential consequences of another Trump presidency.

“My love for this country drives me,” she shares. “We cannot go backward, especially when it comes to women’s health and choice. Wisconsinites know firsthand what it’s like to fight against an active abortion ban. I want to ensure that no woman in America has to endure that again.”

When asked why she chose Wisconsin, Walsh emphasizes her belief in helping others achieve the American Dream, just as she did growing up in a working-class family.

“I started working at 14, and thanks to hard work, I got to chase my American dream,” she says. “But it’s not just about my success—it’s about lifting others up and making sure everyone, especially women, has the opportunity to pursue their dreams.”

Walsh tells Daun, she wants to encourage Wisconsin voters to go to the polls this November.

“We need to move forward as a country, to protect each other and make this democracy something we can be proud of again,” she says.
