Roll Over Claims A Life

One person is dead after a tractor roll over. On Monday, the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an injury accident involving the tractor roll over on a logging road on private property at an address located in the Town of Kickapoo. Responding personnel found that Jimmy L. Kennedy, 65 of Wind Lake, had been operating a medium sized garden tractor alone on the property. The tractor overturned while Kennedy was operating it on the logging road, lodging Kennedy underneath the tractor. Jimmy Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene by the Vernon County Coroner’s Office. Also assisting at the scene were the Viola and Readstown Fire Departments, and Kickapoo Valley Rescue Squad Ambulance Service.
