South Bridge is the focus, as crews continue to install deck form work and rebar at the 130/133 Bridge Project in Lone Rock. Two concrete deck pours are planned for late June / early July.
The North Bridge final touch-up and staining was completed last week. Sealing the deck is being planned for this week. Intermittent flagging on Wisconsin 133 will occur over the next couple of weeks for crews to finish staining the back side of the retaining wall barrier facing the river.
WisDOT Bridge Inspectors are scheduled to perform standard annual inspection on the existing south bridge June 20. Traffic across the bridge will be flagged to a single lane most of the day starting at 7:00 AM.
An environmental crew is scheduled to be on-site in June/July to perform mussel survey and relocation in the river along the existing Wisconsin 130 bridges and roadway alignment. Rock causeway construction for bridge demolition access will begin after the mussel survey and relocation effort is completed. Bridge demolition will start late this year after traffic is on the new bridges and continue through the winter.
