A group in Baraboo is trying to oust the school board president. The “Recall Vodak Committee” claims board president Kevin Vodak shows favoritism toward the administration, and has mismanaged taxpayer money. The petition also cites high staff turnover.

They have until July 14 to collect signatures. Under state law 25% of a municipality’s electorate must sign the petition to have an election. The “Recall Vodak Committee” needs just over 2,500 signatures to force a recall election.

Organizers told the Baraboo News Republic they want someone who will listen to staff, students and families.

Vodak has been on the Baraboo School Board for 23 years.
