GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW) – Representative John Macco announced that he will not seek re-election to his State Assembly seat representing the 88th District. Macco’s term will end in January 2025. He was first elected to the state assembly in 2015. He made the announcement through a press release and post on his Facebook page.

Press Release:

Representative John Macco (R-Ledgeview) announced today that he will not seek re-election to the State Assembly:

“After careful consideration, I have decided not to seek reelection to the Wisconsin State Assembly’s 88th district.

“Elected service has been and continues to be a high honor of citizenship.  I have strived to serve the people of the 88th diligently and honorably for a decade. I have always been keenly aware that my title is Representative and, in that capacity, my primary role was to represent and serve this district. Thank you to the people of the 88th who have continued to trust me to represent them in Madison. It has been an honor and I am proud of the investments I have been able to deliver to the district over the past 10 years.

“I have been blessed to be remarried a year ago.  My wife Lynn and I look forward to enjoying a Wisconsin summer, spending quality time with family, working to grow her new business and seeing that Republicans remain the majority party in the Wisconsin Legislature.”
