Marquette University student dies in residence building Monday

MILWAUKEE (WAUK) – A student was found dead inside of a residence building at Marquette University Monday night.

According to a release, the Marquette University Police Department said that the student was found unresponsive after 9:30 p.m. Monday at the Cobeen Residence Hall.

Despite life-saving measures, the student was pronounced dead inside the residence building. Police said that there were no signs of trauma on the student, but did not release a cause of death or identify the student.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
