The National Alliance on Mental Illness was started in Wisconsin back in the '70s. Today, they have saved thousands of lives and helped find treatment and resources for those with mental illness. NAMI Northwoods focuses on advocacy, education, support and public awareness throughout Marathon, Lincoln and Langlade counties so all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives. You may have heard NAMI Northwoods representatives on air or their commercials during our breaks since we love and believe in the power of this organization.

Domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and trafficking know no boundaries. The Women's Community in Wausau provides a safe, confidential shelter for those looking to escape dangerous home situations. They also provide 24/7 phone support, advocacy, child services, employment assistance and education. Executive Director Jane Graham-Jennings has made appearances on the WXCO Morning Report to talk about their services and why they're essential to keep our community safe.
