People Helping People

People Helping People strives to connect people who have needs with people who have time, talent and gifts to share. They uplift those who are poor, distressed and underpriviledged with assistance, training and guidance to become productive members of society and earn permanent careers. They have served the Barboo area for 27 years and continue to serve low-income families and unemployed adults through actions like food drives, school supply donations and career and skill training. MAXFM works closely with People Helping People and supports their mission in uplifting our community.

Baraboo Coummunity Heroes

Baraboo Community Heroes, otherwise known as the Baraboo Police Officers Association, is a non-profit organization comprised of first responders and engaged community members. They are committed to empowering youth and their families through comprehensive safety education, community-sponsored events and the distribution of essential resources to at-risk youth. Hope House of South Central WI

You can thank Hope House of Central Wisconsin for Dave's beautiful purple hair or nails each October as MAXFM proudly hosts the annual Hope House Radio-a-thon! Hope House is the only domestic violence shelter serving a six-county area in Wisconsin. Their mission is to prevent abuse and provide support to victims of domestic and sexual violence. They host a 24/7 confidential hotline, counseling, legal services, children's programming and a shelter. They also work to educate our commmunities, hosting presentations for young people on consent as well as professional adults to look for signs in their patients or clients.

Beyond Blessed Pantry

Beyond Blessed Pantry

Seeing on average 700 households weekly, the Beyond Blessed Food Pantry serves 20 counties in Wisconsin and logs 20,000 volunteer hours annually. As food insecurity increases, they rise to the challenge to treat every individual with dignity and respect by ensuring this basic need is met. Due to their committment to serve without judgement, (they do not require paperwork or limit frequency visits) they rely completely on private grants, donations and volunteer work from people like you.

Jane's Journey Home for Dogs

Jane's Journey Home for Dogs

Senior animals are rarely the first to go in a shelter. Whether their previous owner has passed, their foster family can no longer support them or for any other reason, Jane's Journey Home will take in aging and special needs dogs to enjoy their senior years in peace. Having witnessed firsthand the inhumane treatment of aging animals in her community, Jane Barton started this non-profit with a core love of animals and a belief in their integrity, even as they age. They provide a reitrement home with palliative care for geriatric dogs and continue the work with community outreach and education throughout Baraboo.
