WAFER Food Pantry
As the largest food pantry serving La Crosse County, WAFER feeds more than 1,500 families each month. They understand that food pantries are frequently a last resort for families and individuals, which is why they are actively working on expansion of food procurement and distribution and creating education resources for nutrition and food preparations for patrons. Your monetary donation can be designated to programs, capital campaign or to the greatest need.
The Center: 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection
For over 20 years, The Center has been a leader in the 7 Rivers Region to serve the LGBTQIA+ community. They strive to create safe spaces for connection, community, education and advocacy for queer people, allies and neighbors. Their programs span from community enrichment activities to self defense to trans forums as well as support groups, a library and a gender-affirming closet. New Horizons Shelter & Outreach
Where do you go when your home is no longer safe? The New Horizons shelter is a safe space for seven counties in Wisconsin and Minnesota, standing as the only domestic violence shelter within a 65-mile radius. They offer 24/7 service at their shelter and on their hotline, and they serve all genders. They offer a wide range of free and confidential services like legal advocacy, safety planning, housing advocacy and more.
