Wayne Stiegelman
Let’s Talk Agriculture
This weekend National Milk Day is celebrated, so our theme is Agriculture! We have stories on Cheese, and the stress farmers face. Applications are rolling in for the 78th Alice in Dairyland, and our cover story features the ancient practice of beekeeping with a modern twist. Did you know that cows are dangerous animals…we have commentary on that, and The Gentlemen Grifters are our music guests this week on NEWisco Weekend!

TGIF!! (Hour 1)
It's FINALLY FRIDAY, so let the Meanderings begin! Apparently, after our guest Kathy Bratz joined us yesterday morning, the guys are motivated to lose weight. Kathy shared that she lost 190 pounds just eating better and moving more. (We'll see how long this lasts). The conversations turn to honey and garlic, and that means we gotta chat with Big Wayne from A-Frame Acres. (We're so lucky to have friends of the show who can keep us informed and on track). Check out his Facebook page HERE for more details on A-Frame Acres.

Humpday Meanderings & Mushrooms (Hour 1)
From Maino's root canal to Ingrid Andress' going to rehab after her performance of the National Anthem earlier this week, the conversation is all over the place. Then Big Wayne gets an unplanned call from our studios when John decides he's going to grow mushrooms and sell them at farmers markets. Listen in to hear his idea, and how quickly Jim and Wayne shoot him down.

Flucke’s & Ferlo (Hour 3)
Peter and Tracy are kind enough to stick around for another segment. Frank Hermans digs in with questions about some of the challenges they faced on their tandem bike trip to New York City. A special guest joins us from A-Frame Acres...yep, Big Wayne is in the house. He stopped in to bring the Mayor some celery and garlic. Check out his Facebook page HERE. Then "Mr. Grand" (at least that's what we call him) Joe Ferlo joins from The Grand in Oshkosh gives us a look at their 2024-25 season schedule. Lots of great performances are in store! Click HERE for the full schedule.
Biking, Bees and Business(Hour 1)
On this Thursday, the discussion starts with a quick story about how Maino got a ticket riding his bike on the trails yesterday. He got the bike Monday, and three days later, TICKET. Then, it's been a while! Big Wayne is in from A-Frame Acres to talk a little bit about women in beekeeping. Over 40% of beekeepers in Brown County are women, which brings so many wonderful products to the area. Beekeeping is changing because of these folks! Get details on A-Frame Acres by clicking HERE. Then Lynn & John Macco join from Uptown Cheapskate. It's an upscale resale store with clothing and items for adults, kids and infants. Not only can you take in your items for cash, you can even trade what you have for "newer" things. We learn a lot about this "thrift" business. Get more details about the shop by clicking HERE.

Swarmin’ in the Mornin’ (Hour 1)
Big Wayne and Dave Elsen join the show this morning to talk about what you can do if you come across swarming bees. They say the best thing to do is to leave them beeee (see what we did there?) Usually after a few hours they will move on. If they don't, you can reach out to the Brown County Bee Keepers Association HERE. Maino tells stories that include gasoline and fire...that's always fun.

Then our real estate experts and great friends of the show Ben & Deanna Malcore are in to give us the temperature on how real estate is going in Northeast Wisconsin. They have great information on why you want to choose a realtor to sell your home. Visit Bay Area Realty by clicking HERE.

Some great artwork on display, and according to John, a great cheese, too! Then "Big Wayne" from A-Frame Acres joins to begin his case to the Mayor to help "Save The Pollinators" during the month of May. Then Wayne brings in the "big guns" Julie Mazzoleni. She really has some great information about early spring pollinators.

Then they poll the audience on whether folks went to the dump to watch bears or shoot rats. You might be surprised at the results.
