Keeping Healthcare Decisions At Home (Hour 2)
Following the remarks of Vice President Kamala Harris, we hear from our news team on the scene in Big Bend. Civic Media Southeast Wisconsin News Director Stuart J. After wrapping up with Stuart, Todd takes your calls on reproductive freedom, featuring many tragic personal stories of miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. We thank our listeners for willing to be vulnerable and share these experiences. Even with modern medicine, these traumatic events and losses of life are all too common, and sweeping abortion bans make it nearly impossible for patients suffering from these situations to seek appropriate treatment. We cannot fully comprehend what these individuals go through, and that is why it is imperative for us to keep reproductive health decisions in the hands of patients and their doctors, rather than the government.
Todd brings today’s show to a close by updating us on a tragedy of a different sort. Over the weekend, Universities of Wisconsin (formerly the UW System) announced the end of in-person instruction at UW-Green Bay’s Marinette campus. As Todd has been saying for over a year now, UW-Platteville’s Richland Center campus was the canary in the coal mine for an increasingly rapid systematic starvation of our state’s higher education system.
