Girls Basketball: Riverdale at River Valley
River Valley picked up a 52-42 win over Riverdale in area girls basketball on Monday night. It was a non-conference battle between two teams that continue great improvement during the season. The Blackhawks improved to 6-6 on the season after taking a lead for good late in the first half. They were up 25-17 at intermission and built a 19 point lead before Riverdale chipped their way back to within 8 in the last minute. Riverdale fell to 9-4 on the season with the loss.
River Valley School District
River Valley School District Administrator, Loren Glasbrenner, helped start out the week of Morning Show programs by providing a school district update with host Phil Nee.
Boys Basketball: Prairie du Chien at Richland Center
Richland Center survived to win a conference game 62-52 over visiting Prairie du Chein on Friday night. The Blackhawks were searching for their first win of the season, and they kept the game close before the Hornets broke a 50-50 tie with 2:49 to play and they took a lead they would not give up.
Richland School District Special Education
The Morning Show spotlight on January 10 was put on the Special Education Department at the Richland School District.
Girls Basketball: Platteville at Richland Center
Platteville won a conference game against Richland Center on Thursday night. The host Hornets fell 69-26 at home as the Hillmen improved to 11-1 and 4-0 in the SWC. Richland Center was down 43-15 at halftime. Platteville continued to build the lead and was able to get the 40 point mercy rule continuous clock going with 9 minutes left.
Girls Basketball: Boscobel at Riverdale
Riverdale won a nail biter 53-51 over Boscobel in girls basketball last night in Muscoda. The Chieftains led 24-20 at halftime and both teams shared leads in the 2nd half. Boscobel was up by 6 points midway through the 2nd half before Riverdale came back to take the lead for good and eventually hold off the Bulldogs in the end.
Boys Basketball: New Lisbon at Ithaca
WRCO Radio had the call of the New Lisbon at Ithaca high school boys basketball game. The Ithaca Bulldogs pulled away to end up winning by a score of 85-40.
Girls Basketball: Dodgeville at Richland Center
Dodgeville won its first conference game with a 40-26 girls basketball victory at Richland Center on Friday, December 3rd.
