Lisa Hale
TGIF!
The show team agrees that it's been a long week. Jim and John hit so many events over the weekend (and have a few coming up this weekend) that it feels like last week just continued into this week. Not a bad problem to have! It just means we always have plenty of things to do in Northeast Wisconsin. We also get a preview of this week's NEWisco Weekend program from host Lisa Hale. This week, it's about Women's Mental Health Awareness.

Sports Medicine & Paws For Applause
Our good friend Mark Husen from Bellin Sports Medicine is in the house! This Friday morning, Mark brings some great Sports Medicine information but seems concerned about a bet Jim and John came up with early in the show. Maino says it's his "summer of biking," and he will bike 1000 miles by the 4th of July. The guys are working out some sort of bet to raise money for local charities. But we're unsure how we will "police" Maino's mileage. Then we're joined by Ashley Hoffman from Hotel Northland and Mandy Monfils from Lucky 7 Dog Rescue. A great event this weekend at the Northland called Paws for Applause. A fun fundraiser for Lucky 7 Dog Rescue. Jim and John are helping to host and judge the event.

"Laughter at :21 After" starts on Monday! Then Northeast Wisconsin News Bureau Chief Lisa Hale joins to give us a rundown on NEWisco Weekend for this coming weekend! TGIF & RIP
We're glad it's Friday, but also sentimental over the loss of Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker. We reminisce about some of our favorite "Ueck" stories and play some audio from The Tonight Show in 1971. That spurs conversation about some of the best sportscasters in the state. Uecker, Irwin, and Garcia are brought up, along with folks like Big Al Sampson. Then our news director, Lisa Hale, joins to give a preview on what's in store this weekend on NEWisco Weekend. It's all about the importance of art in our lives.

Trucker Thursday!
The guys start the day off the rails, which is always fun! It's Fig Newton Day, and Jim and John disagree about whether they are good cookies. A Maino & The Mayor Quick Poll shows that most listeners say "yes" to Fig Newtons. One listener texted in that Fig Newton and Mushroom Pizza is wonderful! That's good news because it's also National Pizza Week! Then, Northeast Wisconsin News Bureau Chief Lisa Hale joined to talk about a press conference held yesterday in Green Bay, announcing some great events that will be held in conjunction with the NFL Draft coming in April.
