Dr. Kristin Lyerly
Healthcare Refugees in America (Hour 1)
The attack on women’s reproductive rights by extremists on the US Supreme Court has created a new type of healthcare refugee—patients who can’t find providers in certain states ruled by right-wing politicians. We’ll discuss how Sen. Tammy Baldwin is introducing a bill to alleviate some of that travel burden. We’ll also review how the Supreme Court on Wednesday handled a case that could give legislatures unchecked power over elections in the future.
A Voice for Rural Wisconsin (Full Episode)
Former state Sen. Julie Lassa currently serves as the state director of rural development for the US Dept. of Agriculture—giving her a leading role in advocating for resources that help farmers, businesses, and people across rural Wisconsin. We discuss how rural communities can unlock professional resources and finances for a variety of projects.
Also, what the MAGA folks in St. Croix County are proposing that could threaten public safety. Plus, Kristin Lyerly helps us review the Packers/Bears game, and Terry Bell discusses UW volleyball in the NCAA tournament.

Now she’s going to add a weekly Thursday visit to focus on general healthcare issues: public health, healthy living, the maze built by insurance and government officials, and your own questions. Also: We remember Christine McVie, visit with Luke Mathers, and offer a cautionary tale about using those jukebox apps. Know which bar you’re in!

And we review a failed GOP effort to have military absentee ballots set aside in Wisconsin, a successful Republican effort to throw out thousands of absentee ballots in Pennsylvania.
On Wednesday:
- We don’t know! But we’ll have reactions to whatever shakes out, once the votes are counted.
One More Week – Part 1
With only seven days remaining, the 2022 election season includes a new case of someone committing fraud against Wisconsin’s system for obtaining absentee ballots—again undermining the claims made about 2020 fraud which still doesn’t exist.
