Coach Kowalczyk, Gizmo & Ben VerGiesen

December 19, 2024

We wake up Coach Tod Kowalczyk in Toledo. He's the Men's Head Basketball Coach at the Univerity of Toledo, but he also coached at UWGB. We get his take on what it might take to get a winning team in town and what can be done to drive more fans to the games. (Just an FYI: Maino introduced Coach to his wife). Then our good friend Gizmo stops by to let us know about a show he's got coming up this week, and shares some holiday magic with us! Then Ben VerGiesen, a designer with Lewis Rose Design in DePere, visits to talk a little bit about designs and some of his trips out west to get inspiration.

Holiday Theater

December 2, 2024

Guest: Gizmo

Our good friend Gizmo joins the show to promote many great holiday shows this month. From small performances with just a few performers to larger shows, Gizmo suggests looking online for these holiday shows. "They're all over." After that festive talk, somehow, the guys get into a conversation about P. Diddy, how he could get out the ankle bracelet, and where he should go. After realizing how crazy the conversation is, Jim pulls it back to great holiday gift ideas.

Magic & Homes

October 30, 2024

A good friend of the show, Gizmo, joins us today to talk about the big 100th anniversary event on November 9th at the Hotel Northland in Green Bay. You have got to check out his John Kennedy impression. It's amazing! He also does a great "radio magic" trick with a deck of cards. Grab a deck of cards and be ready to play along! Jessica Voss is in the house for our "Moving With The Malcores" segment with Bay Area Realty. She talks about downsizing or "right-sizing" your home but also has some great tips to get your current home ready for winter. She shares great tips, from deep cleaning to ensuring doors and windows are sealed. (She's also a killer pickleball player!) Then Gizmo comes back for a bit of trivia based on Harry Houdini!

Bowling & Haunting (Hour 2)

September 16, 2024

Shannon Cohen from the New Community Shelter comes by to remind us about the Bowl-A-Thon they have coming up on Saturday, November 2nd. It's a great time and Jim and John plan on putting a team together. Will Jim use the bumpers? Will John show up? I guess we'll all find out! Then GIZMO is in the house to talk a bit about Evergreen Theater's production of "The Haunting of Hill House". The show opens this weekend, but he also encourages everyone in the community to try out for any one of the several shows that the theater is presenting for the '24-'25 season. Then GIZMO does a little "radio magic" for the guys and it completely works for both John and Todd.
