LG Rodriguez is looking forward to reaching across the aisle to address Wisconsin’s housing affordability crisis this year. She also helps us stay informed on this April’s State Supreme Court election.

To kick off today’s second hour, Todd delves further into Brad Schimel’s past and why he is unfit to be elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court this April. As it turns out, he’s done a lot more than assert that January 6th insurrectionists are innocent. Regular listener Jo from Madison calls in to remind us of things he did as Attorney General, from excessive spending on merch to unacceptably slow processing of rape kits.

We end today’s show with a clip from the Joe Rogan Experience. Actor Mel Gibson shared some stories about alleged cancer cures. However, the medications he lists are NOT approved or effective for treating cancer. We must be careful not to trap ourselves in information silos.

The 2024 Presidential Election Is Here! (Hour 1)

Wisconsin's Attorney General Josh Kaul and Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez join Mark Thomsen today. On the board: how our state leaders are working to keep our elections safe and keep us moving forward!

Josh talks with Mark about the importance of maintaining free and fair elections. Including providing proper security and safety measures for those who run our elections. Attorney General Kaul implores you: if you see anything that threatens to interfere with the election, report it. Start by notifying the Chief Election Official at your polling place. If needed, elevate by informing your local law enforcement and contacting the Wisconsin Election Commission.

Lieutenant Governor Rodriguez joins Mark to talk about the issues that matter to Wisconsinites. She and Mark discuss the necessity of reconciliation after the election. This election season is proving to be an extremely divisive time in American history. So how will we come back together and work to keep this great state moving forward?
