We talk movies to start the hour with Nathan Deming, a Wisconsin filmmaker who is in to promote the Green Bay Film Festival event coming up this weekend. His movie "February" tells the story of Miguel (David Ezekiel Duran), a recent immigrant to a small town in Wisconsin. A mysterious co-worker (Richie Gordon) invites him to experience ice fishing, and Miguel embarks on a night on the ice he will never forget. Then Makenna Mae and Jake Alan are in our Heights Pub & Parlor Music Series spotlight! Makenna and Jake are part of the group Grand Union, but they also perform as an acoustic duo. They knock our socks off with awesome music! A great way to end the week and kick off the weekend!

To start off this hour of Civic Media Spotlight, we tune in to a segment from the Earl Ingram Show this week. Earl was joined by Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Judge Susan Crawford. They talk about what led her to choose her career path, the biggest issues she sees impacting this election, and how she hopes to navigate the highly partisan environment in Madison.
Then, on the Dom Salvia Show, Maggie Daun sticks around for the overtime with Dom to dig into the MEMO issued by Trump's White House stalling all federal loans and grants. Not an Executive Order. Not a directive to Congress to draft budget laws. A MEMO. Dom says the message is the chaos. Maggie says it's the fear. In truth, it's probably both.
