Celebrating Earth Day with Tia Nelson (Hour 1)
Happy Earth Day!
Today, Todd joins us live from Governor Nelson State Park to talk about the conservation efforts that make Wisconsin great. The late and great Governor Gaylord Nelson championed environmental conservation, creating Earth Day. We’re honored to speak with his daughter, Tia Nelson, about his lasting legacy and her own conservation efforts. She reminds us to make every day Earth Day!
After speaking with Tia Nelson, we call up our friend Matt Flynn for a little Monday With Matt. He had the honor of working with Governor Nelson, and we have the pleasure of hearing about that experience.
At the bottom of the hour, we chat with some folks from the DNR while they get some work done! Governor Nelson State Park Manager Mike Ring tells us what it’s like to manage a park! We also talk with Zac Stencil, one of the two Wisconsin DNR Archaeologists.
