With historic wealth inequality, an explosion of disinformation on social media, and self-declared Christian Nationalists overtaking our public education systems, we've got a lot of work ahead of us! Beyond “Weird”
What would Matt Damon's mom think of calling Trump and JD Vance "weird"? Well, we asked her! On the one hand, weird is a loaded word, especially for those in the LGBTQ+ community and all those who've been saddled with the term in childhood or beyond. On the other hand, countering a bully requires flexibility to adapt and match their style. Plus, using the word offers an opportunity to reclaim and redirect it. Like most everything, there's nuance here, and we embrace healthy discussion and debate around it!
