The Revival & The Music of Cody James (Hour 3)
It's Friday, and that means local music on the show! Dennis Peters of the Glam Band joins for the segment, and Jennifer Lyn from The Groove Revival shares her band's blues-rock journey. She speaks passionately about their new album, 'Retrograde', and their throwback 70s sound. Cody James, a solo artist, also joins, discussing his creative process, his single 'Thousand Miles', and his dedication to music without a plan B. The episode wraps up with a live performance from Cody, highlighting his meditative songwriting approach.

Food, Fun, and Rock ‘n’ Roll (Hour 3)
The guys spice things up when they chat with Reggie Desamour, owner of Area 509 in Appleton, and his Caribbean Taste and Busted Spud food truckers. Area 509 offers a tantalizing taste of Caribbean cuisine with dishes like mango lime chicken and oxtail. Reggie shares plans for their anniversary bash with live music and Caribbean vibes. Then, since it's Friday, that means LIVE music! Dan Rafferty from NEW Dueling Pianos is in the house with a rocking duet. This is a fabulous way to end the week!

Musical Weekend Kick Off
We end the week with our LIVE Music Series! Our great friend Dennis Peters from the Glam Band is back with us this week to help us welcome Spencer Smet. A local musician who just returned back to the area after being in New Orleans for a time. His eclectic songwriting is the perfect way to segue into another GREAT weekend in Northeast Wisconsin!

Heights Pub & Parlor Music Series
It's Friday, which means Dennis Peters and live music courtesy of the Heights Pub & Parlor! Our favorite duo from Green Bay and Sweden, 7000apart, joined to grace us with some music in the Heights Pub & Parlor Music Series. Amelie Eiding and Jonathan Kresin began their musical journey in Green Bay, where Amelie was a foreign exchange student. Their high-school romance turned into a 7,000 km long-distance relationship and evolved into a dynamic musical partnership and marriage. We love them and their story! Then our brand new friend, Erica Suchyta with the Neenah Historical Society, swings in with her "spicy" attitude and a brand new exhibit called "Growing Up In Neenah". We love her passion for the city and its history. Plus, she keeps Jim and John in line like no one has ever done before! We hope she visits more often!

Distilleries & Son Reis Project
Dennis Peters joins us again this hour. Our friends Jim and Suzi Ploetz join the show again as "competitors" in the Maino & The Mayor's Top Craft Pick promotion! They own and operate New Denmark Brewing and Duck Creek Winery & Distillery. They started home-brewing beer back in the early 1990s. In 2013, they opened the winery because of their passion for wine-making and growing grapes and after winning several amateur ribbons at the Wisconsin State Fair. After a few years, they wanted to get into creating distilled spirits. In 2018, they released several spirits: whiskey, vodka, gin, rum, brandy, and several flavored moonshines. Then Ashley McDermid flies in (almost literally) for the Heights Pub & Parlor Music Series. Today we welcome Jason Reisdorf, Jason Goessl and Ryan Thomas from "Son Reis Project." Their Facebook page explains their music thusly: "Son Reis Project (SRP) is a sonic exploration at the intersection of heavy metal, free jazz, and punk." All we know is that it was a fun and eclectic way to end a great week of radio shows!!

An Important Hour of Radio
Dennis Peters remains in the co-host chair while Jim continues his vacation. Mark Husen from Bellin Sports Medicine joins to help Dennis make a very important announcement: Dennis has been diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer. Devastating news for Dennis and his family and friends (radio friends included). However, the reason he wanted to do the special segment is to make the point that you should take care of yourself, advocate for yourself, and not disregard signs of illness. We thank Dennis for allowing us to be the venue for making this announcement. The meaningful hour continues when Cari Josephson from the Walk To End Alzheimer's brings a special guest with her: former Wisconsin Governor Marty Schreiber. Governor Schreiber has recently penned a book called My Two Elaines about his story of caregiving for his wife, Elaine. He writes about having to watch his beloved wife gradually transform from the woman who had gracefully entertained in the Executive Residence to one who sometimes no longer recognized him as her husband. Net proceeds from the sales of My Two Elaines will be used to promote Alzheimer’s caregiver support programs.

Cheese Curds & Local 5 LIVE
Dennis Peters from The Glam Band sticks around to fill in for the vacationing Mayor. "Cheese Curd Nick" slides in to talk about the Draft that's coming to Green Bay in just a few weeks. Besides discussing possible draft picks, they also talk about doing business during the draft. Then, we're happy to welcome our friends Lisa Malak and Millaine Wells from Local 5 LIVE to the show. We love their show and feel a kinship with them since both our show and their show love to bring out the good news in our communities. The businesses, the food, the arts, the people! Here's a cool picture of Lisa and Millaine having fun.

Maino & Dennis Lee Roth
Dennis Peters from the Glam Band sits in for the Mayor on this Trucker Thursday! Conversations weave between Maino's sports stories, TV show themes, TV line-ups, and whether or not Chef Boyardee ravioli is good.

Beers & Music
Jim and John welcome Zack Clark and Ian Wenger, co-founders of Fifth Ward Brewing Company, as part of the Maino & The Mayor's Top Craft Pick promotion. After beginning their journey brewing at home, the guys finally decided to invest in a location, and about 8 years ago, the brewery and tap room were opened. It was a great conversation about great beer and great entrepreneurs. This stuff is right up our alley. Then Bryan Baumler and Dennis Peters join the show with our Heights Pub & Parlor Live Music Series. Today, Heights features the music of Jamie Lynn Fletcher. "From Ella to Elvis, Sinatra to Amy" and a few chickens thrown into the mix, she has a very interesting story and is a phenomenal singer. We were blessed to partake in her music this morning.

Our Two Favorite Things: Food & Music
We start the hour by talking about food security in our community, specifically food security, with students at Fox Valley Technical College. Patti Habeck from Feeding America and Beth Burns from FVTC join to talk a partnership with refrigeration food lockers for the community.
Then, in our Heights Pub & Parlor Music Series, we welcome the Western Psychedelic Folk group Isiah & The New People. We're not quite sure what Western Psychedelic Folk is, but we know that we love it! Even The Mayor was jamming out to it!
