Common Sense Voters In Wisconsin (Hour 2)

February 2, 2024

After a fantastic discussion on the humanity of football, Trygve Olson pivots to discussing Wisconsin politics. Craig Gilbert of the Marquette Law School Poll is an expert on voting patterns in Wisconsin, so we are excited to bring him on to talk about our importance in the ‘24 presidential election. Gilbert elaborates on the possibilities of Wisconsin’s new maps, and the role that split ticket voters play in our state.

After that discussion, Trygve continues the discussion on split ticket voters. It may seem confusing that some people voted for both Tony Evers and Ron Johnson, but it comes from a logical place.

Aaron’s board game of the week is Kiri-Ai: The Duel! In this simple and quick card game, each player takes the role of a samurai in a duel to the death. You choose your actions and reveal them simultaneously, and the first to take two hits loses. This game is very new, so it may not yet be at your friendly local game store, but it’s always worth checking there first to support local businesses.
