Salute to Service and Community Heroes (Hour 3)
Jim and John chat about the annual Salute to Service event, spearheaded by Cathy Kolbeck at Houses of Honor. This unique fundraiser combines pizza, beer, and a Packer game to support veterans, drawing over 300 veterans last year. Funds raised go to veteran nonprofits in our communities. Like most events like this, it focuses on community volunteers, emphasizing the power of collective action. Then, Don Carper from the Veterans Village in Appleton shares details on the Rocky Bleier Golf Tournament. People can get involved in several ways, including participating in the event as a foursome, sponsoring a hole, or opting for a sponsorship package.
