Brett Newski
Brett Newski taking action against the big scam with new album “AmeriCONa”
It's almost a David versus Goliath story! An independent Wisconsin artist is taking a stand against what he calls the "big business of streaming music."
Brett Newski is based in Milwaukee but has been touring the world full-time for more than 12 years.
He says after taking a hard look at the money he makes from streaming, he will NOT be adding his new album to any of the services when it comes out in May.
And he tells Teri Barr, he's feeling good about his decision.
You can order the new album from his website (brett newski dot com). It will be added to the bandcamp page, where you'll have to pay to download the songs.
He hopes other independent musicians will join him what he calls "taking action against what's just a big scam."
