Tonight we have high school hockey last night.

I had high school hockey on the road made the Trek up to Eagle River.

So it was about an hour 40 each way.

Tonight back on the road heading to Eau Claire as the Los Alves hockey team will look to extend their win streak to eight games in a row.

The Warriors are 16 and one on the season and they will take on the Huskies of Eau Claire North.

Sports wise last night the Bucks earn a two point

win over the Atlanta Hawks, 112 to 110.

The Packers lose their defensive coordinator.

Yeah, Jeff Haffley, the Packers D coordinator, who's done a nice job the last couple of years.

He has been named the new head coach of the Miami Dolphin.

Surprising.

He was in the mix, I think, for about five different jobs.

Wow.

Packers will have to find a new defensive coordinator.

That's not going to be an easy job to fill because I think Hathley came in and really improved this defense.

So whoever comes in is going to have to either maintain it at the very least and then try to improve

it

as well.

Speaking of the Miami Dolphins, you remember last week when we had the number of the day and you talked about it, the Dolphins and their perfect season?

Well, I do recall that.

Last last night, I think last night Indiana pulled off the same thing.

Yeah.

Yeah, they ended their their season 16 and oh And they won the championship last night,

which is just an amazing story because going into this year my dad said I should my mom said that they didn't have a chance Well going into this year Indiana

In the history of college football had the most losses of any team for the history of the sport Yeah, it

was

a literally were the team that had the worst record of all of them going up and down Until this year and two years ago.

They were not good.

They brought in Kurt Signetti their new head coach and He turned them around and I know that's a different

Era in college athletics because now you can basically build a team very quickly Back in the day if you tried to get somebody to transfer in they'd have to sit out for a season But now you can bring them in quickly, but at the same time it's hard to overturn decade after decade of bad tradition So

it just shows

it shows that even when things are down even when things are not looking bright that there is a way if you make the right decisions

if you work hard enough to be able to turn it around.

And not just turn it around.

I mean, this was turned around so quickly.

Last year, they went to the college football playoff in a total shocker.

And yet there were people saying, oh, they didn't play the toughest schedule.

Oh, they didn't play this team or that team.

Well, when they did play somebody that was good, they lost to them.

So what Signetti said, OK.

going to criticize us after one of the greatest turn arounds in college football history last year.

We're going to double down and do even more.

And like you said, I mean to go with what was it 16 and oh, I think they finished 16 and oh, that's what I saw.

Yeah, 16 and oh, we talked about Miami Dolphins last week.

I went 17 and oh and winning the Super Bowl back in 1972, 73.

And that's

not easy to do.

I mean, that's why me getting a perfect five out of five weeks with a number of the day.

It hardly ever happened.

the fact that they didn't lose a single time this season is just.

They're a really good team.

A phenomenal team is how I would say.

But

again, you know, in this era.

There's so much negativity out there, and it starts at the top.

I mean, I'm sorry, but you know,

leaders

like Trump sets the tone for this country in so many ways.

And right now, he's setting the tone in a bad way.

But those of us who want to have a different feel, have a different tone within our country, within our lives, this is something that I think grab a hold of to be able to say, hey, that we can turn this.

sometimes you sometimes it could be a little too difficult but other times you can make it happen and you never know unless you try and I think that again is one of the lessons being learned here that when Kurt Signetti took that job at Indiana people said hey you can't win there

They're big.

He said no, I've won everywhere.

I'm gone.

Look he would he famously said look at my Wikipedia page I win wherever I go I win and he won again at Indiana So he certainly

did

congratulations to the Indiana football team and everybody follows Indiana after Going through so many bad years and for badger fans.

Hey can turn it around Mm-hmm.

Well, I just want to talk about Neil Young, the great folk singer.

He's trying to battle global warming.

And his statement was that people should create their own power.

So that means we need help with tax credits on solar panels, tax credits on EV cars.

you know you can create your you can hire people to put up solar panels but what happened is i think uh... they dropped the credits for solar panels where you you know you could get a ten thousand dollars solar credit and on cars like in norway they give you a thirty thousand dollar tax credit on cars so you know we really have to uh... you know you have these large uh... wind wind uh...

Windmills and you have like China's got a hundred acres of solar panels to power their Country, so I mean it's just that basically Getting tax credits and also we need more tree planting.

I mean we got to Pay attention to the whole planet and below the equator right now

Australia's on fire, they lost 800 houses, their temperature is 100 to 120 degrees.

And Chile has fires, Argentina has fires, South America's having fires, and that's all due to probably global warming and too dry, you get into droughts and we're in big trouble in that, you know, just to pay attention of what our environment is at.

Well, isn't it a case of government needing to decide in terms of subsidies?

Are you going to subsidize future energy?

Are you going to subsidize the past?

And frankly, in this country right now, it is a governing party that is trying to subsidize the past.

And unfortunately, it feels like you hit it on the head with some of these, which say climate emergencies.

Unfortunately, one thing that I've noticed about this country is we're pretty good.

Once you realize something has to be done, but unfortunately so often we wait until Absolutely the last moment to try and do something and then when it comes to the climate it feels as though we're gonna wait and wait and wait and all of a sudden realize Hey, there's an emergency and then start to do something when it would be so much easier if we took what you're saying and trying to look forward as quickly as possible I agree

Because I've got an article here that the article was the major cities that are becoming too hot for humans to live in the number one killer in weather is heat.

We have to pay attention to planting more trees because trees will absorb the carbon dioxide and the carbon dioxide is the highest in a million years.

So if that keeps going up, that's like wrapping a blanket around the whole world.

We're going to get a lot hotter.

And there was an article with Wikipedia that in 1995 there was a Chicago heatwave and the 700 people died from the heat.

People forget about the past and we really have to think more of the future and look at your children.

What are you going to leave for your children or the next generation?

And also this Christmas in the south in Texas, that was the hottest Christmas in 150 years ever.

Christmas ever across the south there.

And we had those tremendous fires in California.

And then also I just wanted to mention a friend was eating a lot of fish up north.

And there's also warnings in the fishing book.

They don't talk about much of the mercury in the fish.

And he ate a lot of fish.

And the mercury was off the charts in his blood system.

He felt that he got COVID because his immune system was dropped and Trump wants to come back and Bring in more coal.

green it and the mercury goes up You know, that's so heartbreaking to see we're bringing back the coal.
