Fundal on Police Friday night investigated an attempted abduction report that had no apparent merit to it.
Police responded to the area of Forest Avenue and South Boardman Street.
Officers and detectives spent several hours investigating the report, doing interviews, canvassing the area, reviewing video, and more.
It turned out two people were traveling with their pets and stopped their vehicle at the intersection after hearing their pets crying.
They got out of the vehicle to check on them, which led to the report.
There was nothing to indicate someone tried to abduct a child.
Dodge County had an airplane crash that really wasn't a plane crash Friday afternoon.
According to sheriff's officials, just before 4.30 p.m.
deputies responded to Highway 151 near Oakwood Road in the town of Trenton for an airplane fuselage in the median.
It was being transported by truck and trailer when straps securing it failed and the fuselage slid off the trailer and came to rest in the median.
The plane had no engine or wings.
No other vehicles were struck, but the crash caused a traffic backup.
Highway
151 remained open while the plane was being removed.
The State Patrol assisted at the scene.
The 47-year-old rural Fond du Lac man at the center of an investigation into human remains found in his basement was arraigned on a stalking charge in Dane County Court on Friday.
Benjamin Larson pled not guilty.
Meanwhile, in Fond du Lac County, he's charged with felony bail jumping, obstructing an officer and three counts of receiving stolen property.
He will be arraigned on those charges on September 28.
The discoveries made at Larson's home were during the execution of a search warrant on August 14 as Fonzo-Line County Sheriff's officials were assisting Madison Police with a stalking investigation.
The Sheriff's Office subsequently got their own search warrant for their investigation into what was discovered at Larson's home.
A Fond du Lac County supervisor was arrested after getting off a plane in Japan.
84-year-old Scott Rodman is suspected of embezzling money during a business venture about 20 years ago.
Fond du Lac County Executive Sam Kaufman has apparently known Rodman for years and told one media source he finds the accusations hard to believe.
Kaufman was also concerned about how the stress of the situation will affect Rodman's health.
Rodman has been in jail for more than two weeks.
He represents District 18 on the Fond du Lac County.

Shortly before 6 p.m.
on Saturday, Fond du Lac Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire inside an apartment unit at 388 North Seymour Street.
The fire, located inside the kitchen area of the unit, was quickly extinguished upon arrival.
The origin of the fire was determined to be grease left in a pan on the stove.
A burner was left on after cooking, causing the grease to ignite, this according to a release from Fond du Lac Fire Rescue.
Significant damage to the unit was sustained, and the resident was dismissed.
The resident was in the apartment at the time of the fire and attempted to use a fire extinguisher prior to fire crew's arrival.
A Fond du Lac County judge last week denied a bond modification request for the 52-year-old Fond du Lac woman whose negligence is suspected of causing the death of her 12-year-old son.
The hearing for Tina Bopre was last Tuesday.
Judge Trisha Walker heard arguments from the defense and prosecution before making her ruling.
Bopre is charged with child neglect causing death.
Her son had a degenerative muscle disease.
It left him wheelchair bound and dependent on caregivers for much of his care.
At the time of his
his autopsy, the child weighed only 56 pounds.
The autopsy report characterized the cause of death as homicide by starvation.
POPRE is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
A five-day jury trial is scheduled to begin on November 30.
City of WAPON leaders recently announced that WAPON has been accepted into the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation's Main Street program.

The Main Street program is a comprehensive revitalization program designed to promote the historic and economic redevelopment of traditional business districts across Wisconsin.
Wopan City Administrator Kathy Schleve says the new group Discover Wopan will have a key role in the Main Street program.
Their focus will be on economic development and a tourism combination that's going to fit within that.
And so they will receive some public money.
She says other programs like EnvisionGrader Fondalax Ignite program has helped them with entrepreneurial opportunities.
She points out that the Waupon Main Street program is up and running, but will take its time to develop.
Formalized, we're really looking at the final quarter of 2026 and then full implementation as of January in a perfect world, right?
That's the plan right now.
A director for the Waupon Main Street program is expected to be named soon.

Wisconsin Republican gubernatorial nominee Tom Tiffany is out of the hospital after his plane made an emergency water landing in Lake Wasaw Saturday night.
In a statement Sunday morning, his campaign says Tiffany suffered a cut above his right eye that required stitches.
They say the pilot of the plane has also been released.
In an earlier statement, Tiffany said he was returning home from the La Crosse County Lincoln Day dinner when the plane lost power approaching the Wasaw downtown airport.
The plane had to make an emergency water landing
Lake Wausau.
Tiffany and the pilot called 911 before the plane began to sink and the two swam to shallow waters to await first responders.
In a statement on social media, Democratic nominee David Crowley said, quote, I'm grateful to God that Congressman Tiffany and no one else was heard in this horrifying incident, which could have been a tragedy if not for the heroism of the pilot.
I wish them and the Congressman a quick recovery and that they can find solace with their loved ones.
The plane
Tiffany was traveling in was a four-seat bonanza.
He and the pilot were the only two people on board.

A flight home from a Republican dinner in La Crosse ended with Tom Tiffany and his pilot in Lake Wausau after their plane lost power near the Wausau downtown airport.
Authorities say the 911 call came in around 849 Saturday night and Tiffany says the two got out of the plane as it started to
sink.
Tiffany
took to a microphone later in the day to explain what happened and talked about the injuries to himself and his hero pilot.
He had four stitches, I believe, in one of his wounds.
That was the extent of his injuries.
I have 12 stitches up in my eyebrow, but other than that, just a few scratches.

It wasn't the season opener Packer fans had hoped for against Division Rivals Minnesota Vikings.
The pack had a double digit lead going into halftime with an impressive performance controlling the game from the start.
The second half was a different story though, a scenario all too familiar to Packer fans.
The Vikings scored 29 points in a row, Jordan Love faced back-to-back sacks fumbling on one of them, and a string of penalties led to a 39-22 blowout by the Vikings.

Four police officers are injured and one of our state's largest farmers markets was canceled Saturday after a car drove into a crowd of people over the weekend in Green Bay.
Green Bay police say a fight broke out near a food truck just after two in the morning Saturday.
As officers were investigating, they say a car drove into a crowd of bystanders and police.
One officer fired their gun.
No one was hurt from the gunfire.
Police say four officers needed medical treatment for their injuries.
The officer who fired the gun is now on administrative leave for the department's policy.
Due to the active investigation in downtown Green Bay, city leaders canceled Saturday's farmers market.
The market typically hosts around 150 vendors for Saturday's market.
An athlete is dead after suffering a medical emergency during the Iron Man 70.3 Wisconsin competition in Madison.
Officials said the incident happened during the swimming portion of the event Saturday morning.
UW Lake Rescue personnel brought the athlete to shore and began life-saving measures before emergency crews took over.
The athlete was transported to a hospital where they later died.
