Communities across the Fox Valley continue the long, tough task of cleanup in the wake of the EF-3 tornado that passed through Monash on July 27th.
Numerous streets in Fox Crossing, Monash and Nina have closed for the operation.
Large debris is being cleared from areas most affected by the tornado.
On Tuesday, crews focus near the hardest hit areas of the city south of 3rd Street.
As for the entire city, the company's goal is to have most debris picked up by Labor Day.
Eight days after that tornado heavily damaged parts of the city, including an elementary school and the high school football stadium, Monash the school superintendent guaranteed that the school year will start on time.
In a Tuesday afternoon news conference, Superintendent Dan Slowy said all students will begin the school year on Monday, August 31st as scheduled.
Slowy said, except for the Gagan Elementary School, assessments have been completed for all district buildings which reopened on Tuesday.

Slowly said the district hopes to make decisions on what spaces will be temporarily used instead of Gagan early next week.
The district has three other elementary schools.
However, he added the district has been exploring other options in the community.
Damage at Gagan from the July 27th EF3 tornado included smashed windows and holes in the roof.
Elsewhere in the district, the varsity football team is
practicing at Maplewood Middle School instead of Nathan Calder Stadium in Monashia that was heavily damaged.
Classes are scheduled to begin in all Monashia public schools on August 31st.
Winne County police have released the names of the three people found dead in a home in the 500 block of Division Street Friday night.
They were 11-year-old Lenora and 16-year-old Jalen Mankey and their father, 57-year-old Jeffrey Mankey.
Deputies found them deceased while responding for a medical incident and welfare check.
Circumstances of their death were not released.
Online court records show Jeffrey Mankey and the child's mother was going through a divorce, which was granted in Winnebago County Court on Friday.
A 54-year-old Medford man was sentenced in Green Lake County Court on Monday for illegally shining and harvesting deer.
Timothy Tite was sentenced to 60 days in jail, ordered to pay financial penalties, and lost his hunting, fishing, and trapping privileges for six years.
According to a DNR investigation, Tite was with four others during the incidents in Green Lake County in 2024 and 2025.
Investigators say the former Fond de la County man was the group's only shooter and
driver.
The investigation began late last year and was led by DNR Conservation Warden Brad Latz, who initially responded for a report of a deer struck by a vehicle.
It was determined the buck had been shot with a crossbow.
Later that night, Latz saw a vehicle moving slowly while shining a light into nearby fields.
When he stopped the vehicle, the shooter was standing in the roadway holding a crossbow.
The DNR says evidence collected that night and subsequent interviews with those involved led
to the conviction of Tite and two others.
In addition to their school-based Head Start program, Advocat is offering a rural home-based program.

She says through the home-based program they have someone go to a participant's home for a 90-minute session once a week.

The 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard will be conducting evening training flights tonight and tomorrow night.
During that time, area residents may see or hear F-35 aircraft in flight until approximately 10.45 p.m.
Training flights normally take place during daylight hours, but pilots and maintenance personnel are required to conduct nighttime operations as a part of their overall readiness.
Pilots will continue to follow flight paths designed to minimize noise to area residents.

Advocat offers Head Start programs for three and four-year-olds at the Rippin Learning Center, two programs in North Fond du Lac, and seven programs at Sacred Heart School and Church in Fond du Lac.
