Yeah, I think anytime you're kind of on a five game skid, that's definitely something that you need to pay attention to, you know, and so we have a chance just to connect with the team and go through some stuff.
and really revisit what we can control and what we can't control, you know, and going to the Nuclaris, they're a well coached ball club, you know, with a lot of experience too.
And, you know, they, they shorted and we get to see it firsthand, you know, but hats off to our defense.
I mean, truly you wouldn't look at the score and think that, right?
But I mean, they were able to keep us, you know, in the game, you know, until half or so.
And offensively, we just kind of struggled.
I mean, they were fast, they were aggressive, you know, and,
And that just really hurts, you know, when we can't have offensive production and your defense is playing a whole game out there.
So, but no, we got a chance to just talk and really kind of revisited kind of where we're at with our situation this season.
We've got 14 kids there.
This is their first year playing varsity football.
When you look at that and you've got realistically four or five kids that have experience, two of which are injured and have been for the last few weeks, right?
We're young, right?
And you either
when or you learn.
And the last month we've been doing quite a bit of learning, you know, but there's a lot of growth that comes with it and our kids are still positive.
You know, they're, they're ready to come home from their home crowd, you know, and have a few ball games the last three weeks here closer to home.
I think the biggest thing that we could take away as a group is just that continual part of the self-inflicted wounds.
I think, again, Bob was a very talented team.
They had a lot of very good players on both sides of those walls, but I think a lot of the stuff that we could have controlled, we lacked as a team and as a coaching staff, so that's definitely something that we're looking to improve on again this week, especially with a really good opponent when we're playing this Friday.
Well, certainly penalties.
come into play a lot.
And at what point do you say, oh, it's a young team.
That's bound to happen.
And how do you try to curb those?
Well, I think the biggest thing that we really try to focus on is, yes, the reality is we are a little bit of a younger team.
But this youth that we've had has had a lot of experience on the varsity level.
And really trying to focus on the little detailed things that maybe a lot of people scoff over, or maybe the fact that a lot of these young guys maybe didn't think about too much on their JV levels are not really kind of really starting to bite us in the butt a little bit.
So that's really something that we're trying to focus on again this week and really reiterate into our guides here.
