Ithaca Weston scored a win 35-7 over Brookwood on Saturday during Ithaca's homecoming football game.
Ithaca Weston went up 14-0 in the first quarter and increased that lead up to 35-0.
Clock going continuously with 407 left in the third quarter.
Brookwood would score.
It's only touched down early in the fourth quarter.
Ithaca Weston is now 4-0.
They'll play an important game Friday night at undefeated Kashton.
Brookwood is now 1-4.
They will travel to Nesita during the sixth week of the high school football season.
Assistant coach Marcus McCauley talked about the win following the game on Saturday at
Ithaca.
with the homecoming festivities, so we were worried about a close start, but we came out pretty well.
Rain the whole first half.
I think that definitely slowed the game down, but
it was a good win.
A book would prove that they can be a prolific passing team.
You guys kind of took that away.
And that's one of the things you worked on all week, wasn't it?

I mean, if you listen to Caden's interview earlier the week, right?

So we knew that was going to be a big game plan.
And, uh, you know, again, the weather played a little role in that.
But I think, you know, the passes we gave up were short.

Marcus went on to say there is a big game coming up on Friday again in the
schedule.

I'm pretty sure they're undefeated yet.
And, uh,
I don't want to say it's for the conference, but it's going to be a game that means a lot
towards the conference.

They have some special events going on all week.
A big match with Platteville on Tuesday night.
They'll host Prairie du Chien on Thursday night during homecoming festivities and River Valley football will play Platteville on Friday night during the sixth week of the high school football season.
Turning to baseball, a 3-0 win in Baltimore Sunday night, gave the Brewers a sweep of the weekend series and a franchise record 98 victories on the season.

In football from over the weekend, the Packers wiped out a 10-point deficit in the last 11 minutes of the game and then went on to beat the Jets in overtime Sunday

Rookie Trace Max 26 yard field goal ended a six game losing streak dating back to last season.
It was an ugly game with 14 Green Bay penalties, setting the team back 133 yards.

The 24-year-old was helped off the field.
He was 15 for 26 with 138 yards passing and an interception.

get a little bit frustrated at the end and then then you block a kick and and run it back for a touchdown and the as the as the time runs off the clock and I don't know it changes a little bit of your demeanor.
That was great to see us in that way too.
