Local sports today with a look back at the Simon Sharks swim team.
They were in action on Thursday night to swim a makeup dual meet in Bosquebell against the stingrays.
While the sharks were low in numbers, the sharks still swam well.
Relays earning first place finishes were the nine and 10 year old girls medley and free relay team formed by Elsa Norte, Emily Salas, Zaley Kellman,
and Harper Adler.
The girls' 11 and 12-year-old relay team comprised of Claire Hying, Lauren Chambers, Kailin Burns, and Morgan Worthington, the 11 and 12-year-old boys' relay consisting of Zaden Hardy, Liam Rogers, Ronan Ringelstetter, and Rylan Muller, and the 11 and 12-year-old boys' free relay team comprised of Ronan Ringelstetter, Liam Rogers, Zaden Hardy, and Bennett Heisel.
First place finishers in the freestyle were Elsa Norte, Bennett Heisel, Lauren Chambers, Ronan Ringelstetter, and Cameron Keane.
Backstroke was won by Zaley Kellman, Emrick Kellman, Kalen Burns, and Liam Rogers.
Blue Ribbon finishes and butterfly were earned by Elsa Norte and Cameron Keane.
The distance freestyle was won by Ryland Muller,
Claire Hying and Madeleine Ringelstetter, Eve Brule and Lauren Chambers, along with Liam Rogers and Madeleine Ringelstetter, won the breaststroke.
First place finishers in the individual medley included, Emre Kelman, Lauren Chambers, Ronan Ringelstetter, and Cameron Keane.
The sharks take to the road Saturday to travel to Lancaster for the Invitational.
Next week, the sharks continue a busy week by swimming in Prairie to Sheen.

The Reds were on the radio this past Sunday, and we talked to manager Nick Stittleberg this week about a tough loss for three to Wisconsin Dells.
So one hitter, one tiny mistake away, and it would have been ours, but unfortunately as I said, it's the way the cookie crumbles.
That's kind of the way several games have gone recently for the Reds, isn't it?
Well, it's learning.
We still have one of the youngest teams in the league, I think, so it's still a learning experience for us.
We just have to eliminate the little simple errors, and when things go our way, then we can win a lot of games.
How have the Reds done in the night league this year?
Not great in the win-loss column.
We've played all competitive games, so...
I know we played Arena the other week.
They're the top seed, I think, in our night bracket.
And I think we lost.
I don't remember if it was five to three against them.
So we're remaining competitive, but we just haven't quite, kind of like the Sunday League, we haven't quite got over the hump there and getting the wins in the win column for us.
You play Reedsburg.
Are they one of your strongest rivals?
Um, I would say so.
Yeah, absolutely.
Um, they're one of the most competitive rivals.
We have a, I would say kind of a fun rivalry with the Dells as we had last weekend, but yeah, Reedsburg, uh, some of the older guys, I know that, uh, I played a while or past read, uh, Reedsburg is definitely, I would say our, our biggest rival in terms of, uh, rival ravines.
