I talk to coach Brad Lewis.
We're just finally getting all our girls back that we had at the beginning of the season.
And we're putting together our starting lineup that we had at the beginning of the season.
So what are some things you think you need to clean up here as you get deeper in the
tournament?
How do you get by today?
We need to clean up our hitting.
Our feeling has been pretty good.
Our pitching has been good.
It's just we need to start getting click on our hitting like we were the beginning of
the season, middle of the season.
Well, you have the opportunity ahead of you.
This Hillsboro team, you've had a chance to play them once and what do you think about
them?
What are they feature?
They're always a good team.
They always come in to Ithaca ready to go.
We beat them six to nothing, but it's new record zero, you know, new records that don't
matter anymore.
Once you get into playoffs, so we're going to have to play our basketball.

The other part of the bracket, Royal is taking on DeSoto.
River Ridge is playing at Barnabelle that our guy at Black Hawk is playing at Belmont.
Division four, Riverdale on the road at Phenomore and Melrose, Mendoro, that Iowa Grant, Deerfield
at Marshall and Cuba City at Middlewood Point.
Division three, Richland Center is visiting Gale Electric Trempolo.
The Hornets, a third CGT, a second seed.
They meet today.
Adam's friendship is the number one seed they'll take on number four Westby Dodgeville is
playing at Poignette and Monticello, NewGlera set low die and a division two Evansville
at Mount Horubb and Portage at Monroe among the games.
Today, WIA baseball gets underway with first games quarter final action.
Richland Center is in division two baseball this year.
They're playing at Mount Horubb.
I talk recently with coach Ryan Lemke about the tournament.
It's not where we thought we'd end up.
We had us at a 10 seed out of 14.
Other coaches, such as the Plantville coach, had us there too.
But unfortunately, the way the seeding meetings go, everyone kind of votes together with
conference alliances.
That's exactly what happened.
There's only eight schools in the Badger Conference that are all together and they all
pool their votes together and make whatever happen and they can jump and move wherever
they want, unfortunately, without the other five teams that aren't in the Badger, haven't
much of a say.
The process isn't correct.
WIA needs to figure that out.
I'm hoping they'll do that at some point.
I know other sports went to the computer.
That's the way I hope they do it because then everyone gets a fair shot at where they
legitimate leap along.
But with that being said, Mount Horubb, you know, in the playoffs, they're going to be
a good team.
We got to beat them.
We know what we have to do to beat them.
We got to play good baseball.
They're pretty familiar to us in the playoffs.
We feel like we go there every year.
So we've got to play well.
We've got a plan and we think we can execute it and get the win out there and show them
that our Southwest Conference just because it's not named the Badger still has good baseball
here.
What about your seniors?
Could you say a few words about them?
Yeah.
They're great.
I love this group.
It's a great group of seniors, you know, Brady Dosh, Abe Bosworth, WhiteBanker, David
Dune, Will Bailey, Mason Meyer, Braden Argoll, Sean Colch, and Gary Carly.
It's a lot.
And we're going to miss them.
They've done a ton to this program and working their butts off on the field and off the
field doing whatever it takes for the program and their teammates and the coaching staff.
And we're really going to miss them, obviously, and all of their staple of this program.
And some of those guys have been in varsity for four years, some of them three years.
They're other handful of them too, and so we're going to miss them in a big way.
They're big role players for us, you know, but, you know, it's when the next group has
to stop.
Versus Center baseball coach Ryan Lemke is team at Mount Horob today.
McFarlane is playing at Plattville, Stoughton, Ed Beryldo, Readsburg, has a first round
buy.
In Division 3, Riverdale is in Division 3 this year.
They are hosting Prairie Dushin.
Iowa Grant is hosting Darlington River Valley and the three is hosting Lancaster.
Phenomore will be entertaining New Glarris.
Cuba City is doing battle today as well in Division 3 against Wisconsin Heights.
And Luther plays Verokwa today at W.I.A. Division 4 games.
Highland will be at Ithaca, Sholesberg, Benton at River Ridge, Boscabella, North Crawford,
Pepin Alma, travels to Weston.
Jacobu at Seneca, LaFarge at Royal, Waniwak Center at Hillsboro, Wozika Stubin at Southwestern,
Bartveld will be hosting Catholic Central.
W.I.A. Tournament golf action yesterday, regionals were played at Portage for Area Division
2 schools for Richland Center, individuals finishing at 26th overall were Gabe Metz and
Landon Prohaska, who both shot 89s during the 18 holes.
Also it was Jordan Johnson with the 99 Cody Pauls of 100, Will Weiss of 107.
River Valley boys golf team competed and took 7th overall as a team at the regional Dane
Mosher was their top golfer.
He led the Hawks finishing 17th overall.
There is regular season soccer today.
Shock Prairie is playing at Dodge, Hillman Roll Point, Readsburg at Monroe, Berlin plays
at Portage Point at, and Belleville, New Glarris at Stoughton.
The Brewers swept the Cardinals by breaking up a Wednesday afternoon no-hitter at American
Family Field, an eighth inning single by Christian Yellage tied the score at one, and
the winning run crossed the plate on an error.
The two-one decision means Milwaukee is one-fifteen of its last 19 games.
River Aaron Ashby earned his major league leading 9th win.
Manager Pad Murphy talked about the team being a team.
The fact that they miscommunicated in a lot of a sudden were in play.
Now, Sal doesn't get it done, Bonnie surprisingly doesn't get it done.
Yelley picks each other.
They pick each other up with two Ops, you know what I mean?
Salves on the top step, screaming for Yelley, let's get it done, pick me up, you know,
it's just a good environment, so yeah, that was that was special.
Then Christian Yellage says the Brewers were outplayed, but they still won.
You feel like you can't still one a little bit, you know, as a cred to our pictures for
keeping us in the game.
You know, we are only chasing one run, so even though things weren't going real good
for us on offense, you know, when you're only down one, like anything happened, it can
change quick, and we were fortunate to get some traffic there in the eighth inning, and
do just enough.
The Brewers are off today, the little bit of weekend series at Houston on Friday.

Interleague play Cleveland 3, Washington 2, Toronto 2, one over Miami, Boston 8, and Atlanta
nothing.
In baseball news, in fact, baseball player seeking expanded free agency and salary arbitration
rights, they also want to nearly double the major league minimum salary and increase
revenue sharing among teams.
The union presented those proposals yesterday, a day before Major League Baseball is expected
to suggest a salary cap, the current labor contract expires December 1st, and a lockout
is anticipated.
MLB opposes the union's proposal, arguing they worsen competitive balance issues.
Players propose increased revenue, sharing to guarantee small market clubs a minimum
of $240 million annually.
Information about the 26 Wisconsin football season has been released.
Three of the games will be played under the lights, the season opener against Notre Dame
at Lambo Field, the home opener against Western Illinois, and the border battle against Minnesota
at Camp Randall on November 27th at 630.
