I am Philney with a look at sports. The Richland Center softball team picked up a hard
fought for to win over Prairie Dushin last night. In a WIAA regional semifinal game, the
Hornets improved to 18 and three on the season with the win and will play on Thursday in the
regional championship. The Hornets scored two runs in the third, one in the fourth and
one in the sixth. The Black Hawks played at two in the fifth inning. Richland Center had
defeated visitors to one and one nothing during the regular season. It was the third win
of the season against the Black Hawks who saw their season end with an 8 and 15 record.
Kyrie Fisher was the winning pitcher as the sophomore struck out 11, walked one and
gave up five hits. The Hornets leading hitters included Reagan-Shep who went two for three
with a run scored, Tatum Raisick tripled and scored, Abigail Williams and Ella Clements,
both singled and scored and Aubrey Colestead had a hit and a sacrifice. Claire Kennedy suffered
the pitching loss after striking out eight and walking one. She gave up seven hits. She
was also the leading hitter as she went three for four at the plate. Following the four
two win, Richland Center will prepare for a regional championship game for a second year
in a row. They will play at Galesville against G-E-T. They defeated Watoma with a score of four
nothing in that game yesterday. Westby advanced with a 12 to five inning win over Westfield.
They'll play Adam's friendship next in line. Dodgeville was a winner, six to overland
caster. They'll play point net in the next round and Lodi advanced after a win over River
Valley, eight four. They'll take on Monticello, New Glarris in division two last night. Portage
into the year for Platfield to nothing. They'll play Monroe next when row is a winner, seven
one over Sock Prairie. Evansville advanced with a win over McFarland. They'll play Mount
Horror next, which knocked off Readsburg 13 to in five innings in division four yesterday.

the Chiefsons end of the regular season with a victory. The Chiefsons received a strong pitching
performance from Henry Dron who had tossed five shutout innings. Ethan Cagle would come on to
pitch the sixth and seventh to get the win. Bevan Dennis would go three for four including the
game winning hit in the seventh as he would drive in Wyatt Shram with a single to left with two outs.
The Chiefsons end the regular season at 13 and 11. They will host Prairie Dushin Thursday the
opening round of regional WIA baseball play game time set for five o'clock. Ithaca will be
opening up its tournament on Thursday as they get set for regional final action at home as well.

Buchholz in the 100 meter hurdles advances to the next level and also it will be Kayleigh Carter
in the pole vault. She was a regional champion yesterday as was Melanie Williamson in the 3200
Mallory Meas advances in the 1600 and Haley Schneider in the triple jump Riverdale's four by eight
relay team finished second. They advanced to sectional Melanie Williamson, Millie Schneider,
Olivia Meas and Mallory Meas and Riverdale's four by one relay team, Haley Schneider,
Kayleigh Carter, Gretchen Buchholz and Mary Medina advancing for the Riverdale Chieftains.
It was a big day for Kickable LaFarge at Brookwood yesterday. The boys won the regional 118 to 102
over Luther and the girls finished fifth as a team. Bangor was the number one team. Among the
finishers for Kickable LaFarge, good enough for the next level. Bennett Coder advances in the
discus throw also land in Turkicin advances in the 1600 meter run. Adryk Ege in the 400 meter
dash also individuals include Adryk Ege in the 200 meter dash feel par in the high jump. He was
a regional champion and Adryk Ege finished first in the long jump competition. Bennett Coder in
shot put and land in Turkicin advances in sectional in the 3200 meter run. For the boys,
Will Wertz, Arlen Walter, Jeff Olson and Theo Parr combined for a second place finish in the four
by two. The four by one relay team was a regional champion, Jeff Olson, Malachai McCauley,

Adeline Wertz, in the pole vault, Danica Paul's a regional champion, the senior moving on to
the sectional on Friday as his Chloe Hying and Devon Woodhouse, a regional champion in the boys,

sectionals in McFarland. Church League softball last night, free Methodist down the Knights of
Columbus, 13, five, Andy Niemeier led the way with a triple and four run scored. Joseph Hassel was
four for five with two doubles and four RBI's. Grant Worthington had three hits for the Knights
and Dr. Andy Wright got his first career, Church League hit. Boss Cabell Assembly of God Top
Grace Community, 22 to seven. Ryan Langer was seven for seven. Caleb Langer had a three run
home run and Brady Blato had two home runs, including a grand slam in the win. The mission defeated
St. Mary's, 19, eight, coming back from a four nothing deficit, Andy Meaden and Mike Clyde
Dreshmeier, both went to a three for three. Jamie Johnson was two for two and Adam Windsor added
a triple and a home run for the mission. St. Mary's was led by Nicholas Perna and Brandon Ewing
who had two hits a piece and Julie at Hall had a hit and an RBI. Five points Lutheran doubled
up Church of the Nazarene, 18, nine and Richland Baptist Temple two outscored Richland Baptist
