I am Filney with WRCO sports. The Riverdale baseball team raised its record to three, you know,
with a hard fought three nothing win over Phenomore last night. The Cheapkins received an excellent
performance from sophomore pitcher Eli Kempbell, who pitched a complete game shut out to pick up the
win. Eli would strike out seven. The Cheapkins played solid defensively, highlighted by right
fielder Owen Blankenship, who made a spectacular catch to end the game with Phenomore Threatening.
The Cheapkins will play this Friday at home against Southwestern. That game will now start at
four o'clock. Isaac Jennings got the win in Weston's three-two victory over North Crawford. Isaac
with a seven inning game, 76 pitches, giving him two hits, one earned run, no walks, and nine strikeouts.
Leaders at the plate, Eli Jennings, two for two with a double in an RBI and a run scored.
Trevor Westfall, two for three with a double in a run scored. Ross Allball, one for two with an
RBI. Isaac Jennings, one for three with one scored. William Johns, rude, one for three with one
RBI. Seven hits total on the night for the silver Eagles. After the first inning, Isaac settled in on
the mound and started working the zone. The defense solid only with two errors last night. Their next

Baseball. It was kick-a-boo playing outside the conference last night with a six-four victory
against one-a-walk center. The Panthers out hit one-a-walk center eight-six. The winning picture was
Bennett Gurkey striking out three without a walk, and Brenton Ewing was two for two, also Barrett
Williams two for three for the Panthers. In other baseball games, Lake Side Lutheran got the win
against River Valley, eight-five. Ithaca lost at Potosi Casville, 11-6. Iowa Grant, six nothing
over Bosca Bell. LaCrosse Logan defeated Prairie Dushin, two-one. River Ridge, 13, Highland two,
in five innings. Kick-a-boo, six-four over one-a-walk center. It was Southwestern Edging,
Darlington, three-two, and eight innings. Sparta, two, Barobu, nothing. In Softball, Cuba City,
ten-five over River Valley. Riverdale, a twelve-two win against DeSoto.
Sanica, sixteen-one over Bosca Bell. Barnabelle, eleven, Prairie Dushin, one. It was Phenomore,
sixteen-six over Plattville. Potosi Casville lost to Lancaster, eight-five. River Ridge,
13, Highland, twelve. One-a-walk center, fifteen. Kick-a-boo, seven. LaFarge, eight-seven over Hillsboro.
Iowa Grant, eleven-seven over Dodgeville. Southwestern, sixteen, and Benton,
Shoalsburg, two in five innings. And Soft Prairie, a ten-nine win against Redsburg
in High School Softball. A lot of the area's schedule will resume on Thursday.
The original center girl soccer team opened up the season, and it was nothing, nothing
tie at halftime, but then gave up two-second-half goals. The Hornets played very well in their
first game of the season and looked to improve moving forward, according to head coach Shawnee
Fink. Two-nothing, Galena, over Richland Center in Southwest Conference Soccer last night.
The North Crawford Invitational Track meet was held at North Crawford. The top women's team was
Casville, Potosi, with a 142 total. Kick-a-boo LaFarge finished second at 125. River Ridge,
third at 94-and-a-half, Prairie Dushin, fourth at 89-and-a-half. Boschabell was fifth.
Also in the men's rankings, 18 events restored. Prairie Dushin first place with 155. River Ridge
second, 103. Kick-a-boo LaFarge, 99. It was Casville, Potosi, fourth with 79. Boschabell fifth
with 52. Ithaca Weston was sixth with 42. Speaking of Ithaca Weston, the four-by-eight relay team
finished second. That was Sam Jones, Brasen Garcia-Bolen, Deakin McGonnell, and Clayton Lee. It was
Mel Ali with a eighth place finish in the 1600. Clayton Lee, first in the 1600. Braden Burns and
Luke Osborne had personal records. In the 400-dash, Sam Jones was eighth. Brasen Garcia-Bolen was tenth
with a personal record. In the 800, Sam Jones finished fourth. Braden Burns was thirteenth with
a personal best. In the 3200, Clayton Lee was first place, second place, and a PR, Brasen Garcia-Bolen.
Sam Jones, eighth in the long jump, and in the Discus, Deakin McGonnell was eighth. Faith
Stedinchka, eleventh in Discus, and Zoe Pascher with a personal record as well. For Ithaca Weston,
their next track meet is coming up Saturday at New Lisbon High School.
The bowling scores from last night, the Lucky Striker's League. Gander's Cleaning Service 2499,

838, Robbins Nest, 837. Nicole Matier with a 616 series led the way, Jamie Parr had a 502,
Kaelin Davison of 498. Top game, Nicole Matier 214 and a 209, Kaelin Davison 184, and Melissa Smith
picked up a 510 split in the Lucky Striker's bowling league. The Brewers scored pair runs in the
seventh inning, but couldn't make it stand all the way back in a 32 loss at Boston. That snapped
a three game losing streak for the Red Sox. Jacob Mizorowski started from Milwaukee and shrugged
out the first five batters of the game, 10 for his appearance. He didn't allow a hit until the
fourth inning, still wound up taking the loss. Here's his manager, Pat Murphy. Yeah, I think he
just ran out of gas a little bit, his legs, and his legs got heavy. After the fact, I didn't
realize that, but after the fifth, we could tell just his responses and things that like he's
running at a gas a little bit, but he's still so great. He was dominant in five innings.
Former Brewer, Caleb Durbin drove in the winning run for Boston. Manager Murphy Shows,
that Boston played great defensively. Story made a great play, Durbin made a great play,
changed the game, Durbin catches Ellie's ball. Story makes that backhand play at the end,
that's great play. So they played great defense in the clutch. We played good defense too,
just we didn't do enough. We were depleted a little bit tonight. Obviously you guys know that.
Rookie Shane, Drowhand starts the afternoon rubber game of the series for the Brew Crew 12-35,

on the losing side last night against Brooklyn. The Nets 1, 96-90, the lead had melted to just
one point at 88-87 with two and a half minutes to go, but Milwaukee couldn't move on top.
AJ Greens scored 20 points to lead the way. The box stay on the road for a game tonight in Detroit

Packers April 20. Phase 1 includes two weeks of meetings, strength and conditioning and physical
rehab, OTA start the last week of May and the mandatory mini-camp is on the calendar for June 9
through the 11th. More than two dozen packers have bonuses attached if they take part in enough
