The Regen Valley all conference boys basketball selections have been announced.
First team all conference has voted on by the coaches from Disoto Jackson, Trusonia
senior, Ithaca senior, Devon I'm Kickapoo seniors, Arlen Walter and Malachai McCauley, North
Crawford senior, Colin Jacobus, Seneca senior, Jackson Connitchek, and Cooper Lumas from
Wazika Stuban.
Second team all conference, Regen Valley boys, players from Disoto junior, Adam Venner,
Kickapoo seniors, Brecken Miller, and Adric Eggy, from LaFarge senior, William Wurtz,
North Crawford juniors, Landry Staluka, and Zach Bender, and Seneca senior, Hunter Hagenseck.
The Adulmention list includes North Crawford's Sawyers Staluka, who is a senior, Gage Wall,
a senior from Seneca, and Isaac Jennings, a Western senior.
The all sportsmanship team, Austin DeFlorian of Disoto is senior, Keegan Jones, a senior
from Ithaca, Warren Uey, a senior from Kickapoo, LaFarge senior, Brian Potter, North Crawford
senior, AJ Anderson, Seneca senior, Caden Roberts, from Wazika Stuban Theo Millen, a senior

The player of the year is voted on by the coaches, was Arlen Walter of Kickapoo.
The Panthers won the conference, going 13 and 1, North Crawford was 11 and 3, Disoto
10 and 4, Ithaca and Seneca both 8 and 6, Wazika Stuban was 3 and 11, LaFarge 2 and
12, and Weston 1 and 13.

Thanks Phil, and the WIA State Boys basketball tournament is taking place at the Cole Center
today.
I got underway today, and the first games in the afternoon were from Division 3 in the
semi-finals in game 1.
It was Seymour, beating St. Croix Central by a score of 67 to 49, and Racine St.
Catherine's defeated Blake Bills, 72 to 66.
And tonight's games at 6, starting at 6.35, and in the first game, it will be Bondwell
taking on Cambridge, and in the second game, it will be Milwaukee Juno playing against
Regis.
Then tomorrow at 9.05 a.m. in Division 5, the first game will be Readsville against
Sherboygan Lutheran, and then in the second game, it will be Prentice taking on Southwestern.
So tomorrow at 1.35 in game 1 of Division 2 semi-finals, it will be Slinger taking on McFarland
and Los Salem against Whitefish Bay, and at 6.35 tomorrow evening, in Division 1 semi-finals,
it will be Wisconsin Lutheran playing against Appleton North, and DePierre will be taking
on Madison Memorial.
In a game heard earlier on WRC 107.7 and A on 1450, Chase Johnston made his first
two-point basket of the season, a fast break layup with 11.7 seconds remaining that
gave number 12 seed high point at 83 to 82 victory over fifth seeded Wisconsin in the
first round of the NCAA tournament.
Johnston finished with 14 points, including four three-pointers for the Panthers who were
10 and a half point underdogs according to Bet MGM Sportsbook.
He came in shooting 64 of 136 from three-point range, but all of four inside the arc.
The Panthers will face either 13 seed high or number four seed arc and saw in the second
round.
Nick Boyd finished with 27 points for Wisconsin.
The games they were played today include TCU beating Ohio State 66 to 64.
It was Nebraska defeating Troy 76 to 47.
Louisville beat South Florida 83 to 79.
It was Duke over Siena, 71 to 65, and Vanderbilt defeated McNeese State, 78 to 68.
As we got one more final in, it was Arkansas beating Hawaii, 97 to 78, so Arkansas will
play in that second round game against high point.
Also in the second half, with 104 left in the game, it is Michigan State leading North
Dakota State, I'm sorry, by a score of 89 to 67.
The NCAA tournament brackets have already been busted for millions of college basketball
fans.
High points upset of Wisconsin played a major factor in ending the hopes of a perfect
bracket for more than 25 million who entered ESPN's perfect bracket challenge.
The network reported that just under 900,000 perfect brackets remained after the first wave
of games.
