WIA Girl State Tournament Action yesterday, Division III, Usberg, 63-50 against Mozeny,
and Wisconsin Dells stayed unbeaten and moved on to the championship game with a 77-71 win
over Kettle-Marrain Lutheran.
Division IV, Albany of 45-31, Victor against St. Mary, and Neilsville over Lomira, 58-31.
There is Girl's Basketball today beginning with Division V, a leave as strom will tip off
with Fall River just after 9 o'clock this morning in the second game, Pachelli plays Barnabelle.
The Golden Eagles have won 6-8 titles, getting Division IV crowns in 95-98-99 in 2005, and
Division V titles in 2014 and 15.
In addition, they have a Division IV runner-up in 2007 to go with two Division V second-place
outcomes.
They finish second in the East Division of the Sixth Rivers Conference during the regular
season.
The Golden Eagles defeating Independence Gilminton, 38-34 in the final of the Mauston sectional.
So that game is later this morning and then this afternoon, Division II, Rice Lake plays
Beaver Dam at 135, followed by Whitefish Bay and Elcorn, and tonight in Division I beginning
at 6-35, Walla Tosa East puts its unbeaten record on the line against Notre Dame, followed
by Arrowhead and Peawokey as well.
