At half time. In the second half, Riverdale led 3332 when Iowa Grant went on a 17-to-nothing run
and took a lead for good. The Chiefs battled back to within 11 with 250 to go,
but fell short for the second time this season against their SWAL rival.
The Panthers controlled the boards as they improved to 11 and 6 overall and 5 and 4 in the conference.
Riverdale fell to 2 and 5 and 0 and 10 in the league with the loss.
They were led by Bevan Dennis with 20 and Owen Blankenship netted 14.
NREL Gantula scored 7, Conlon Walsh 4, Henry Drones scored 3 and Eli Kempbell had 2.
The Chiefs made 5-3 pointers and went 7 for 15 from the line.
The Panthers were led in scoring by trait and level holes with 20. Grant Rickard had 14.
Sam Lundell scored 12 and Landon Friesen was the fourth player in double digit scoring
when he ended with 10 points. Iowa Grant made 4-3 pointers and went 9 for 13 from the free throw line.
Iowa Grant won the JV game 66-30 over Riverdale in the opening contest.
Following the 64-49 win, Iowa Grant will play Dodgeville on Tuesday night.
Riverdale will host Wozika Stuben in a non-conference game coming up on Monday night.

The Girls Conference Clash was held last night. With more, here's WRCO's Bill Twining.
A busy weekend of high school wrestling kicked off last night at Boscow Bell
where Girls Wrestling teams from the SWAL, the SWC, the Ridge and Valley, and the Scenic Bluffs
conferences met, and the annual Girls Wrestling Clash. It was won by mineral point
with 178 points. The Lancaster Girls were second with 130, followed by Prairie Dishine 101,
fourth place Richland Center 91 and a half, and Kickapula Farge rounded out to top 5 with 81,
one point ahead of Dodgeville from the area River Valley was seventh with 63 points.
Area place winners for Richland Center a pair of champions, both seniors Kaley Spilde at 100 pounds
and Madeline Muller at 120. Meanwhile, senior Abigail Williams was third at 132 pounds and
Junior Annabelle Shlom added third place points at 152. Junior Mariah Obday was fifth at 126th
and Senior Valerie Fauver sixth at 145 for Richland Center, again boasting those two champions,
Kaley Spilde and Madeline Muller. For Kickapula Farge Youth Initiative, a bunch of place winners
for the team that had 11 wrestlers competing on Friday night. They were led by Junior Chloe
Walty's third place finish at 138 points. Chloe Walter finishing third a pair of fourth place
efforts from Junior Emerson Miller at 120 and Beth Gander a senior at 235, taking fifth
Millie Vaz, a sophomore at 107 pounds for Kickapula Farge. Ithica Weston had just two wrestlers
competing. Jewel Groskov and Briella Granger neither was able to place. Other place winners for
area teams River Valley had a champion sophomore McKenzie Schulte at 126 pounds, while both Raylin
Ragsdale and Dalyne Hill placed fourth and Ellie Osborne, a freshman was fifth for River Valley.
Four North Crawford Seneca, just two wrestlers in the tournament, both placed and did well.
Senior Adriana Logue was the champion at 185 pounds, while Junior Harper Gagas was runner up at 152.
Dodgeville had five wrestlers in the tournament, had a champion in sophomore Jenna Johnson at 138,
and a runner up in Brio Walmer, a junior at 185, pair of third place finishes from Maya Marcline
and Michaela Lathrop in the light weights for Dodgeville. For the host Bosque Bell,
Wasika Stuban co-op at the tournament on Friday night of fifth place finish from Junior Averoth
at 185 and six four sophomore Ali Joleneck at 100 pounds. Iowa Grant Highland had four
wrestlers in the tournament, boasted a champion in freshman Rowan Altman, and a runner up in
sophomore Maria Schaefer. And for Mineral Point, the champion point is quite a day for Mineral Point
at the tournament on Friday night. They were led by a pair of champions in senior Dalyak Collins,
a two time champion now at 132 pounds, and Junior Emily Heisner at 165, runner up finishes for
Tatum James and Lillian Heisner, and four third place wins for Mineral Point on Friday night,
Abbey Finley, Riley Reichling, Rachel Heisner, and Hayley Yeager as the pointer's swept
to victory. Here with individual champions from the Flash on Friday night for the girls,
Kaylee Spilde and Madeleine Muller for Richland Center, Kenlin Bial of Landcaster, also champions
Adriana Logue of North Crawford Seneca, Cadence Fremiller of Phenomore, two time champion now,
Emily Heisner of Mineral Point and Dalyak Collins or teammate, both won their second titles,
while Lillian Heisner, freshman won at 285 pounds. Other champions, Kenlin Bial of Landcaster,
Rowan Altman of Iowa Grant Highland, McKenzie Shultie of River Valley, Jenna Johnson of Dodgeville,
and the tournament's most outstanding wrestler, sophomore Gracie O'Brien of New Lisbon,
who took the title at 145. Mineral Point, the team champ, and Friday night's all girls clash held
