The 37th annual all S-W-A-L-S-W-C Conference Wrestling Clash was held today at the Richel
Center High School Field House and the Lancaster Flying Arrows prevailed with a team trophy
winning by a half point over Iowa Grand Highland. Mineral points with third again by a half
point over fourth place Riverdale. Here's how things went. The Riverdale Chiefs had
blown up with three individual champions, Wyatt Schram, Brody Mies and Grant Matthews.
At 106, Wyatt Schram, the champion with a 5-3 win over Keaton Knackenbach of Prairie
D'Shean, taking third James Castner of Belmont, Platteville, Volcanon, Water of Freshman
from Bosqueville, Laszika, Stuban was fourth. One-thirteen, Griffin, one S.D. Iowa Grand
Highland, sophomore wins the title, second place to Ruger Wall, freshman from Bosqueville,
Laszika, Stuban, sophomore James Schram of Riverdale, third Memphis, Burt Holder, former
Jamf Mineral Point was fourth at one-thirteen. At 120, Shane Richon of Dodgeville is a three-time
champion with a win in the finals over freshman Wyatt Hoffman of Iowa Grand Highland, third
to Hunter Reed of Prairie D'Shean. At 126, the title is Liam Carey for Mineral Point,
wins his second clash title, runner up Hunter Wilkinson of Riverdale, third to Lane Hendricks
of Lennkaster. 132, the championship belongs to Briggs Wigel of Belmont, Platteville,
he wins his second championship, Ashton Yudelhoff of the Bosqueville, Laszika, Stuban
is a runner up, Phenomore's Cade, Birchman, third and Brock Barrett of Richon Center, fourth
at one-thirty-two. At one-thirty-eighth, the champion is Brody Mease of Riverdale. A three-time
runner up, Mease gets the fall in the finals, and a third period, five-thirty-sixh, over
Carson Bass of the Phenomore Brody Mease of Riverdale, a clash champion at one-thirty-eighth,
where Rhett Spurley of Dodgeville is third, and Sammy Springer of Mineral Point fifth
in that weight class. At 144, your champion, winning his second clash title, is Dylan
Wigel of Belmont, Platteville, he scores the win in the finals over Mason Shulti of
River Valley, Shulti the runner up, Mason Scully at a Mineral Point is third, and Max Kelly
of Iowa Grand Highland fourth, at one-thirty-four. At one-thirty-Mason Hurd of Prairie D'Shean defeats
a former champ, Lakota Brewer, Riverdale Jr., in the finals, hurried the champion, Brewer
the runner up, third to Brody Blackbird of Cuba City, Southwestern. At one-fifty-seven,
Geron Glass-Preder of Phenomore takes the title, Tyler Keesmore of Belmont, Platteville's
second, Drake McClamons of Lancaster third, Ritzel Center's Blake Muller takes fifth,
at one-fifty-seven. At one-sixty-five, Hawken Peterson of Dodgeville becomes the eleventh
wrestler to become a four-time champion here at the clash, Peterson pins in the final,
former champion Jackson Bussey of Iowa Grand Highland, who takes second, Jacob Dannaberg
of Mineral Point is third, for his efforts Hawken Peterson of Dodgeville's name to turn
him its most valuable wrestler. 175, the champ has brought Kendramat of Iowa Grand Highland
back to back, 15-to-nothing technical falls, and the semi-finals and championship matches,
Kendram and the champion, Landon Boysch of Cuba City, Benton Southwestern is second,
and Maximo Zolo of Darlington third at one-seventy-five. At one-ninety-nolan-hanky of Lancaster
wins a championship, over Cyber Zant Savage of Phenomore, or excuse me, Ryder Zant Savage
is second, Blake Brickle of River Valley third, and Ty Cuts of Iowa Grand Highland fifth
at one-nineteenth. At two-fifteen Lancaster makes it back-to-back, winner is, as Toyarack
gets, the sophomore takes the title, runner-up is Jack Simmons of Prairie to Sheen Ethan Bindle
of Richland Center goes into overtime, and claims a five-two-sutton victory against
Tanner Degenhard of Iowa Grand Highland, Bindle third, Degenhard fourth at two-fifteen,
and at two-eight-five the champion for the second year at a row, Grant Matthews of River
Dale, the senior defending state champion, wins his second title at the clash with the
pin in the finals over Tyler Fondre of Mineral Point. As far as team scores go, winning
his Lancaster with one-sixty, Iowa Grand Highland 159 and a half, one-half points behind,
third place to Mineral Point 138, River Dale fourth at one-thirty-seven-and-a-half, fifth
the Prairie to Sheen 126, followed by Belmont, Placfilth, Phenomore, Dodgeville is eighth,
University of Benton, Southwestern, Basqueville, Wazika, Stuban is tenth, and then River
Valley, Richland Center, and Darlington. A further breakdown in tomorrow morning's sports,

Larry's doing a really nice job, but those guys, he's got a, the McCay girls average
at about 18-19 points a game, and she gets 13 rebounds, and Harris can play pretty well,
she gets about seven, now they have an outside shoot with Kaplan, who's average at about
six points a game, so I mean, they've got some players around, but McCay is the one
that we really have to make sure that we step up and not let her get going because she's
good on the inside, and if you follow, she doesn't miss too many free throws.
How about Basqueville, who are your leaders this year, Eric?
We have some good senior leaders with Addison Rounds and Maya Bowmeister and Aubrey Seat,
and a couple underclassmen that have been playing really well and Kylie Johnson and Avery
Updike. So the nice thing about what we have right now is on any given night, one of
those five girls that I mentioned can be your leading scorer, so we have a little versatility,
it's just getting consistent and staying consistent every night and having at least three of
those girls scoring.
You have the WIA playouts come up right around the bend, and I know you don't see it
like you used to, but certainly winning percentage is key, and what games do you see as key here
in the next few weeks for basketball if you're going to get a decent seed?
Obviously, tomorrow night against Riverdale is going to be a big one for us, and Kickipoo
coming up, they're in our similar division, as well as Southwestern, and then we have
some tough games coming up and conference play against Cubicity, Dallington, and Phenomore,
so those are going to be challenging games for us, but there are some games that are
out there that we have to compete really well with to help us with the overall seed.
So today in basketball news, it was Barnabelle over Prairie Dushin, 66 to 30, the final score,
Galena Overlandcaster, 81-56, Lodi DeFeeded Readsburg by Final Score of 65-48, all boys basketball
scores, girls basketball today, Almond Bancroft over Kickipoo, 64-28, and St. Croix Falls
got the win against Adams' friendship, it was 69 to 55.
Wisconsin's high scoring back court of Nick Boyd and John Blackwell combined for 43 points.
Austin Rap carried the Badgers early with five first half three pointers, and the Badgers
beat Ohio State 92-82 today. Blackwell and Boyd, who have combined for over 38 points
per game, finished with 22 and 21 respectively, while scoring all 19 of his points off the
bench in the first half. Nolan winner finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds for his tenth
double-double this season. Ohio State's own dynamic dual, Bruce Thornton and John Mobley Jr.
averaging over 35 a game, finished with 17 and nine respectively. The buck-eyes fall
to 14 and seven, six and five overall in the conference. Adam Clarks, 19, helped seat
in Hall to beat Marquette, 69-64 today, AJ Stanton McCrary, Alissa had 11 points while
shooting four for nine from beyond the arc. Packer GM Brian Goentakoon, Stead Executive
Vice President, Director of Football Operations, Russ Ball, have joined Coach Matt LaFour in
signing multi-year contract extensions. The extensions come after the Packers went 98-1
and made their third straight playoff appearance and sixth in the last seven years. A 31-27
loss at Chicago in the NFC Wildcard playoff round, capped a five-game skid that ended Green Bay's
season. The bills have hired former Badger player Jim Leonard as their defensive coordinator.
Under new head coach Joe Brady, the 43-year-old Leonard spent the last two seasons with the Denver
Broncos, including last year as the team's assistant head coach and defensive pass game coordinator.
