I'm Filney with WRCO sports. Last night, the scenic Ridge dual tournament was held and the champion
was Pecantanica Argyle. They won six matches on the night, including round seven against
Ithaca Weston 42 27. Ithaca Weston finished in second place with just one loss.
They had win against River Ridge 48 12 and then over Kikabula Farge 42 24. They got a win against
Black Hawk 42 18 48 12 over DeSoto and 48 24 over North Crawford. They had a buy in round six.
Kikabula Farge finished with two losses on the evening. Also, the origin valley dual tournament
will be held one week from tomorrow. That will be at North Crawford High School. Tomorrow will
have coverage of the always tough SWA LSWC conference wrestling clash. A coverage begins at 10 o'clock
at FM 100.9 and WRCO.com. River Valley won a Southwest Conference Boys basketball game over
Richland Center last night. The hose talks picked up a 65 54 win and avenged a loss from earlier in
the season to their longtime rival. Richland Center rolled to a 30 to 20 half-time lead before
River Valley began shipping away at the deficit and tied the score at 41 with 10 minutes to play.
The Hawks held a three-point lead with just over three minutes left and built the lead at the end
with clutch free throw shooting. Lucas Klein had 20 points to lead all scores. Keegan Heizer had
a strong 16 while Jackson Fatcher added 13 all in the second half, including 9 for 10 from the
free throw line. Sumner Knock Reiner had eight Trevor Henkel four. Kaden Plumley made a three.
Quincy Blakely had one point. River Valley made five three pointers and they were 16 for 23 from
the line. Richland Center was paced by Brady Dosh with 16. A Bosworth total 14. Jaden Shepp had
nine on three three pointers. Deacon Heizer with six. The Hornets connected on six threes and they
were two for six from the line. River Valley won the JV one game 47 42 over Richland Center.
Following the 65 54 win, River Valley is now 10 and seven overall. They will play Sock Prairie
next week. Richland Center fell to four and 10 overall. They will play at Decora Iowa on Saturday
afternoon in a non league game that will get underway at four o'clock. The Riverdale Cheapton
Boys basketball team lost to Phenomore last night 55 53. Bevin Dennis scored 14. Owen Blankenship
had 13. Bevin Dennis, a junior needed seven points to reach the one thousand point scoring
mark and accomplish that early in the second half of that SWAL game. His coach Chris Kenyon earlier
this week talked about Bevin and his accomplishments. You know, he started off a little bit slow,
but he's starting to bring it on now. When you look at his career, yeah, only a junior. I mean,
that's becoming more of a reality now for for kids to hit a thousand as a junior, but you still have
to score a lot of points as a freshman to get there, don't you? Yeah, and he played, you know,
on a pretty strong team that year. You know, we had a lot of seniors, but he was still able to carve out a
role. And, you know, he took the shots and he was open and he made a lot of them. So, you know,
he scored a, I don't remember the exact hole, but it was over 200 points as a freshman and then
really good year left here and you know, he started to turn it on this year as well.
Riverdale boys coach Chris Kenyon elsewhere in boys basketball from last night.

Southwestern at Phenomore River Valley is at Plattville Ithaca Weston at DeSoto
Richland Center at Dodgeville and Riverdale will be hosting Bosca Bell. Bosca Bell's coach Eric
Kinney talked about his team. We have some good senior leaders with Addison Rowan's and Maya
Bowmeister and Aubrey Seat and a couple underclassmen that have been playing really well and Kylie Johnson
and Avery Updike. So it's the nice thing about what we have right now is on any given night one
of those five girls that I mentioned can be your leading scorer so we have a little versatility.
It's just getting consistent and staying consistent every night and having at least three of those
girls scoring. You have the WIA playoffs come up right around the bend and I know you don't see
it like you used to but certainly winning percentage is key and what games you see as key here in the
next few weeks for Bosca Bell if you're going to get a decent seed. Obviously tomorrow night against
Riverdale is going to be a big one for us and Kickapoo coming up there in our similar division
as well as Southwestern and then we have some tough games coming up and conference play against
Cubicity, Darlington and Phenomore so those are going to be challenging games for us but there are
some games that are out there that we have to compete really well with to help us with the overall
seed. Bosca Bell coach Eric Kinney his team will be taking on Riverdale. Well, that game for you
