High School Boys Basketball: Sauk Prairie at Richland Center

I am Filney with a look at WRCO sports.

The Ithaca Boys basketball team logged a big victory against a ranked opponent last night.

The Bulldog Boys defeated North Crawford 90 to 67.

The game was tied at 39 and half time before Ithaca bolted ahead in the second Sansa.

Devon I'm had 24, Houston, Boland added 22,

Kate and Keller 17 and Ethan Berkram totaled 15 for the Bulldogs.

Collins-Akobas led all scores with 27 while Landry Staluka had 18 for the Trojans who lost for a

second time in the conference following a double over time lost to Kikapoo a couple of weeks ago.

Another boys basketball, Hillsborough held off Riverdale, 62-58.

The game was very close throughout. The Tigers led the Chieftains 26-25 at half time.

A two-point basket from the Tigers Malachai Simpson in the closing minute

gave the visitors a four-point lead, which they were able to hold after the Chieftains missed

two long three-point attempts in the closing moments. The Tigers,

Braun Gershli, led all scores with 28 points. He made six three-pointers.

Miles Ravenscroft added 15, including four threes.

Riverdale had four players in double-figure scoring,

Owen Blankenship with 16, Henry Drones totaled 14,

NREL Gantula totaled 13, and Bevan Dennis scored 11.

The junior is now seven points away from totaling 1,000 in his career at Riverdale.

With the 62-58 win, Hillsborough is now nine and five overall and will take on Brookwood tonight.

Riverdale is two-and-twelfth and will host Phenomore on Thursday night.

In on Conference Girls Basketball last night, Highland defeated Riverdale 53, 46.

The Cardinals maintained an edge throughout the night.

However, Riverdale kept it close.

Highland's balance scoring and rebounding edge help put them over the top in the scrappy battle.

Highland was led in scoring by Sofia Terrell and Adeline Essar,

which netted 16, Riverdale was paced by Macy McKay, who had 18 points,

10 from the free throw line, and Ali Goblin, who made two three pointers

on the way to 12 points for the night.

With the win, Highland is now 12 and four,

Riverdale fell to eight and nine with the girls basketball loss.

The 76ers lost the last time they played

against the New York Knicks,

seven of Marquette's victories in a seven

and 14 season have come on the home court

at Pfizer forum.

The Golden Eagles hope that home cooking is good enough

for the win against Creighton tonight.

The Blue Jays won the first big east meeting

between the last two teams.

Creighton is now three and six on the road.

Marquette will be trying to turn things around

after losing 10 of its last 12.

Packer's secondary coach, Ryan Downard,

is following Jeff Haffley to the Miami Dolphins.

FinnSider.com reported the development on Monday.

Haffley was green-based, defensive coordinator,

but he is moving south to be a head coach.

Downard is going to be the secondary coach for the Dolphins.

He had spent the last eight seasons with the Packers.

I spoke with Richland Center coach Brian Pools about all the festivities going on tonight

around this game with Sock Prairie. So we'll introduce all the different levels.

That'll include our Saturday morning youth programs or kindergartners through third graders,

and then our travel teams for through eighth grade will all be individually introduced

in between the JV and the varsity game, and then we'll have a poster night on top of that,

so after the game our varsity guys will stick around and sign the autographs on the posters,

and it should be a fun night. We've done that last couple of years with our youth,

and it's a really fun night.

The Bucks will be trying to find an elusive victory on the road when they play at Philadelphia

tonight. Milwaukee has lost five of its last six games, and we'll be playing without superstar

Janissante de Cuppo again. And de Cuppo is dealing with yet another leg injury. The 76ers lost

the last time they played by a score of once 12 to 109 against the New York Knicks.

Athletic Director Chris McIntosh confirms that the last few subpar football seasons are

impacting badger ticket sales. PBS Wisconsin reports that McIntosh is pointing out that

Wisconsin has actually but the national trend in recent years was increased revenue and ticket

sales. Last year reversed the UW positive trend. The head of the athletics department says he's

hoping our return to the winning ways of the past will bring fans back to Camp Rental Stadium.

Tickets for the 2026 seasons go on sale this week. Packer's secondary coach Ryan Downard is

following Jeff Hathley to the Miami Dolphins. Finsider.com reports that the development Monday.

Hathley was Green Bay's defensive coordinator, but he is moving south to be a head coach

Downard is going to be the secondary coach for the Dolphins. He had spent the last eight seasons

with the Packers. And Freddie Peralta says he's willing to consider a multi-year contract with the

Mets before reaching free agency, but he wants to get settled in New York first. Mets president

of baseball operations David Sterns expressed a similar sentiment after acquiring Peralta in a

trade with Milwaukee last week saying he would definitely allow the all-star pitcher an adjustment

period before potentially broaching a long-term arrangement. Peralta is due to make $8 million

the season after the Brewers picked up their club option on a deal he signed in 2020. He can
