WRC Sports is sponsored this evening by Schwartz Insurance. Here we'll send mutual insurance
agency and Lakes Gas Company serving customers all over America's Great Midwest with reliable
propane services and great prices since 1959 and by PCB Wells Management. And with a look
at tonight's featured broadcast, here's Phil me tonight on WRC Radio Richland Center
will be hosting River Valley and area girls basketball. I talked to coach Jeremy
Kui of Richland Center about the Blackhawks for one. I know they're going to put some pressure
on us and you know, try and force us in the turnovers. They're going to, you know, take
a look to get some steel and get ball to court. So we just have to be smart with our ball
handling and clean with our passes to make sure that we don't put them in a position
to where they, you know, they're out there getting layups all day. River Valley is coached
by Joe Woodhouse. They look like they're playing better this year. They're playing competitive
in a lot of their games and things like that. They have a couple younger girls. They
still have the tall girl that's kind of leading them both offensively and defensively
and almost average in a double double it looks like and don't they're playing well this
year and stuff like that. So I think it's another game where we have to come out and do
what we need to do because, you know, every game's a dogfight a little bit.
They had coached the River Valley girls basketball team Joe Woodhouse. You're the game tonight
on FM 100.9 and wrco.com. Pregame time around 715 and then it's River Valley at Richland
Center Girls Basketball. I am Filney. Thanks, Phil. Also tonight in girls high school
basketball, the game between Kickapoo and Ithaca, Waston. That was supposed to be played
at Kickapoo. That's been moved to January 23rd. Games that are being played tonight include
Cubes City at Riverdale, Phenomore at Boschabell. Dodgeville will be hosting Lancaster. Prairie
D'Shean will be hosting Blackville. It will be River Ridge at Highland. For Rockwell will
be at Gale at Trick Trump alone. Six o'clock start for Seneca hosting Wazika Stubin.
Norse Crawford will be at the Soto. Sparta will be at Westby. Garlington will be host...
Well, Garlington will be at Iowa Grant, I should say. Southwestern is going to be hosting
Monroe Point, Belmont at Benton and Scholesberg at Potosi Castville. In voice action, it will
be Richland Center at Lancaster. New Lisbon at Hillsboro. Caster will be hosting Royal.
Wine walk center will be traveling to Brookwood. It will be Belmont at River Ridge,
Adam's friendship at Ripon and Wisconsin Heights will be hosting Point Net.
Marquette forward, Ben Gold's dunk with less than a minute to go, effectively snapped his team
six-game losing street class night. Gave the Golden Eagles a 66-65 decision over Xavier.
Royce Parham's 14 points led the way while Chase Ross added a dozen points and nine rebounds.
Marquette welcomes Villanova to the Pfizer forum for its next game on Saturday.
Yannisantut Kupo scored 34 points in 30 minutes, but it wasn't enough to avoid defeat last night.
The Golden State Warriors outscored the Bucks 120 to 113. Marquette lost despite connecting on 54%
of its floor shots and making good on 44% of its three pointers. The Bucks will try to get back
on the winning track on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
And the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers will add another chapter to the league's longest
rivalry when they meet in a wildcard playoff game at Soldier Field on Saturday night.
It will be just the third time the franchises of Alice and Lombardi have faced off in the post-season.
The Bears went from finishing last in the NFC North to winning the division for the first time
since 2018 in Coach Ben Johnson's first season. They made the playoffs for the first time in five years
and are the number two seed in the NFC. The Packers are the sub-seed after losing four straight.
And we will be bringing you the broadcast of that game Saturday night right here on WRC-100.9 FM.
The pregame will start at 5 and the kickoff will be at 7. And the good thing about that game,
being here on WRC-O, you can listen to it for free. WRC-O Sports has been sponsored by
Lake's Gas Company, taking care of your LP needs and Schwartz Insurance, providing you the
most complete insurance protection with the most competitive rates. For WRC-O Sports, I'm Tim
