I have a grand defeated Riverdale 6658 last night and boys basketball from the swall and
Royal Gantula led the chieftains in scoring with 19, Bevin Dennis at 11, and Owen Blankenship
scored 10 for the chieftains, land and freeson at 15 to lead Iowa Grant.
Yesterday, Kikapu was winner over Wasika Stuban in Richland Valley action 70 to 25, leading
Kikapu, Arlen Walter with 14, Jace Nagel at 11, Cooper Lums with 10 points, leading the
way for Wasika Stuban.
Another boys basketball, Mauston knocked off River Valley 69 63 at Mauston, Marnavelle
67 54 over Pecatonica, Darlington 65, mineral 0.53, Evansville Top Dodgeville 66 57,
Phenomore 57, Cubacity 54, McFarlane 72, Sock Prairie 55, it was North Crawford over
Seneca 71 48, River Ridge 88, Highland 46, Southwestern Beat Boschabell 71 42, 1AK 62,

that was to be one of our future games, the Weston, Ithaca Game, Ithaca Coach, Aaron
Hipsh talked to us yesterday, it's unfortunate, but you know that game is a conference game
and it's going to get played at some point, so I guess you can look at it as a blessing,
we were coming on the second night of the back-to-back and it's that time of year everybody's
coming back from Christmas break and he might have some illness going around, so it might
be good to give a guys a little bit of a break too.
Now tell me about the win at New Lisbon, what went well in that game?
Well we had a little bit more of a balance scoring attack, we had multiple guys, six or seven
guys that scored between four to ten points for us, which was certainly a help and I guess
you got a credit in the Lisbon, they hit some shots in that game that we didn't necessarily
expect, but they certainly showed up to play.
The next action for the Ithaca Boys team will be at Kikapu coming up on Friday night.

The wrestling season is getting into full speed ahead now that we're into the month of January.
I talked to Richland Center headboys wrestling coach Wyatt Seap this week.
Yeah, I would say it's been a good run.
This year we don't have as much experience as we're used to having, but we've got a lot
of kids in the room that are really working hard.
We've got a lot of good kids, we've got a lot of good people, and that was really important.
When you look at by-state, what were some highlights of that?
The boys side Ethan Bindle made it to the second day.
We were really struggling with sickness as a lot of teams do around the holiday season.
All in all, it was tough for the boys.
We were pretty sick throughout, but so there were a few that didn't quite hit their goals
because of that, but I think they wrestled hard.
They wrestled tough and a lot of them wrestled through a lot of adversity, so that was really
nice to see.
Is it good to get some practice time now?
Yeah, practice time is going to be important.
The weather has been a little bit of a struggle with that.
The school has been, the school has been canceling some practices due to winter weather and
things like that, so it's kind of tough to keep conditioning up and things like that,
but we're making the most of every opportunity that we have.
What about your girls?
They're headed to Kikapu this week and how have they been doing?
Yeah, the girls are headed to Kikapu on Saturday.
They've been doing well.
We've got, as we talked before, we've got more girls numbers out than we have in the
past.
I think we've got 10 total still.
Some of those girls are pretty green and some of them have some experience.
They wrestled up at the by-state tournament as well this last week, and we had three place
finishers up there, Maddie Muller kind of leading the pack.
She ended up taking third, Kylie Spilde placed fourth, and Charlie Bailey ended up placing
11th.
Richland Center wrestling coach Wyatt Seap, his team will host the Southwest Conference
dual night coming up on Friday.
The Richland Center girls will be at the Kikapu Invitational on Saturday.
After the holiday break, the Richland Center Church League volleyball teams resumed action
Monday and Tuesday night.
On Monday, Church of the Nazarene 2 swept Bula Wesleyan, also Grace Community accepted
a forfeit from Richland Deptus Temple 4, lighthouse chapel, down free Methodist 1, two games
to none, and Richland Deptus Temple 1 over Bethel Lutheran, two games to none.
On Tuesday, Boschabell Assembly of God got the best of Santa Maria, two games to one, Richland
Deptus Temple 5 top church of the Nazarene 1, a Voka Bible Church 2, blanked Richland
Deptus Temple 3, two games to none.
It was Richland Deptus Temple 2 sweeping St. Mary's, two games to none, and a Voka Bible
Church 1, down to Hidden Valley Community, two games to none.
Five points Lutheran and free Methodist 2 had the Church League buys.

The Golden Eagles are surprisingly favored in the big East contest.
Trey Carroll is the top score for the musketeers at 16 a game.
He and his teammates will also be trying to bounce back from a defeat at DePaul last
weekend.
The box will have come up with ways to do damage against one of the NBA's best defensive
teams when they play the Golden State Warriors tonight.
Golden State has ranked seventh in points given up so far this season that team is trying
to turn things around after one point lost to the Clippers last time out.
Milwaukee is one three or four games after Yana South at a Compose return to the lineup.
It looks like offensive lineman Zach Tom and veteran running back Josh Jacobs will be
back in the lineup for Saturday's wildcard playoff game against the Bears.
Neither team practiced Tuesday.
