boys basketball game last night at Spring Green and Phil Lee was there. River Valley
won a non-conference boys basketball game 54-29 over visiting Broadhead Friday
night. The Black Hawks led the entire contest and were up 30 to 16 at half time. The
lead grew to 20 points in the second half before the Cardinals got within 12. A
turning point of the game was a three-point basket by Quincy Blakely, which put
River Valley up by 15 and Broadhead would get no closer the rest of the way. The
Black Hawks are now 5 and 3 overall with the win. Senior Lucas Klein led all game
scores with 17, including 3-3 pointers. Keegan Heizer at 11, Bryce Ferguson scored
8, Sumner Knockriner 6, Quincy Blakely had 5, Caden Plumley 4 points, and Trevor
Henkel added 3. River Valley was 3-4-9 from the line. Broadhead fell to 0-7 with
the loss. They were led by Sam Seryles and Nolan Bump, who each had 9 points. Seryles
made 2-3 pointers and the team was 1-4-5 from the line. River Valley won the JV-1
game 57-28 earlier in the night. Following the 54-29 varsity win, River Valley will prepare
for a busy January schedule with a game on Tuesday at Boston and they will look for a first
conference win after no and two start in the league against Prairie Dushin next week.

Clayton Tune will get to start at quarterback for Green Bay in its regular season finale
Sunday at Minnesota. The Packers intend to rest Jordan Love as he prepares for the playoffs.
Packers coach Matlow Flores said Thursday that love was cleared in the concussion protocol,
