Over the weekend on Saturday, it was New Glarris over River Valley in girls' basketball,
50 to 43.
DeSoto was a winner at just a game fieldhouse with a 71-49 victory over Hillsboro.
It was Warren winning against Potosi Castville, 42-37.
Abundant lives St. Ambrose got the win against Wisconsin Heights, 68-24.
Oregon 61, Sock Prairie 30, Wisconsin Dells, girls beat Barrowboo, 84-40, and Lodi-Edged
Adams friendship, 56-52.
Girls' basketball on the schedule tonight, Phenomore Benton.
Platteville travels to Darlington, Waterywalk Center at Kikapoo, North Crawford travels
to River Ridge, Iowa Grant at Highland.
Galena will play at Southwestern and Blackhawk at Scholesberg.
East Basketball tonight, Mount Horub at Watertown, Wisconsin Heights at Belmont, Peccatonic
of his it's Belville, Cuba City is at River Valley, and Cooley Christian will be at
Richland Center.
It's a rare Monday night game for the Hornet Boys basketball team, as Coach Brian Poles
of the team prepare for the bulk of the season and some key games coming up in December.
I think our conference is actually pretty strong right now.
When you look at, you know, Platteville coming off of the years they had with Lucas
Ludlum, he's been the conference MVP, they lost him, but they still have a lot of talent
coming back.
I think they're going to be a very solid team.
Lancaster is really going to be a tough out.
I think they haven't won the conference since 1993, and I think this is a great opportunity
for them having all of their, really, all five of their starters back, they have a really
nice group of seniors this year that have a lot of experience, so they're going to be
really good basketball team.
And then Dodgeville, they've got two guards, one guard that was first team all conference
last year, another guard that was second team, they're going to be a really tough out as
well.
And then Rubber Valley, I think coach Thatcher is just every year, he's able to get his
kids competitive and playing at a level that they're going to win games as well.
So the conference as a whole this year is going to be really tough.
There aren't going to be many easy nights when you're in the conference.
Bristol Center takes on Cooley Christian beginning with a pregame time around 715 tonight
on WRCO FM 100.9 and WRCO dot com on Saturday and boys basketball.
Plattville was a winner 66 51 over Columbus Hillsboro 67 DeSoto 49 Oregon over Barrow
Boos 70 to 37 as well.
Over the weekend in wrestling action, the Royal invitation was held.
Bristol and center was there with both of its girls and boys teams for the girls results.
Kylie Spilde took second at 100 pounds.
Also Charlie Bailey took third in girls at 120 Mariah Obday placed first at 126.
Maddie Muller was second at 132 pounds.
The RC girls placed fourth overall as a team for the Richell Center boys Ethan Bindle finished
second at 285 Ethan Bodendine fourth at 190.
Dane Schwartz was third at 165 also over the weekend sports bowling scores from youth
bowling.
That took place at the Phoenix Center on Saturday for the girls high series.
Jocelyn Adams 538 Abby Weagle with a 323 high game honors Jocelyn Adams at 244 Abby
Weagle with a 112 for the boys.
It was Kyle Sheddinger with a 620 series.
Kaden Keller 541 Logan Felton of 536 high game honors boys totals Logan Felton 232 Kyle
Sheddinger with a 232 and James Layton had a 205 in youth bowling over the weekend.
When Keesha Nixon intercepted a pass in the end zone Sunday, it clinched a 2821 win for
the Packers over the Bears.
The Bears were marching toward what would have been a game tying touchdown while the
final seconds of the important contest ticked away.
Josh Jacobs scored the game winning touchdown with three and a half minutes remaining.
Jordan Love threw two touchdown passes to Christian Watson and won to Bowelton.
Jacobs rushed for 86 yards in the contest.
The Packers did enough to win yesterday and Coach Matleflore says they still need to improve.
A lot of stuff obviously to clean up, you know, it was disappointing.
I thought like there was an opportunity in the second half to kind of pull away knowing
that we were getting the ball and to go three and out to start the second half was not great.
And then they turned around.
They had a long drive and scored a touchdown.
So, you know, put them right back in the football game.
Coach LaFlore was asked about what he perceived as a few missed holding penalties on the
Bears.
Officials, I don't think that their jobs are easy by any stretch.
I think it is a difficult job.
But I guess I don't know what holding is anymore because I thought that was pretty clear and
clear and obvious hold.
But I guess I don't know what that means.
And about the rhetoric before the game with coach Ben Johnson talking about the Packers
and how they would beat them twice.
No, absolutely not.
It was just, I mean, it's Packers Bears.
It's a great rivalry.
And certainly with what was at stake in regards to positioning in the NFC North, I mean,
that's the only thing that matters.
That is coach Matt LaFlore.
The Packers have a tough one coming up again.
They'll play the Denver Broncos coming up on Sunday.
And then the Bears on Saturday night, December 20th.

So in basketball news from over the weekend, the Badger's guard John Blackwell was deadly
from long range again, scoring 30 points in his team's 96 76 win over Marquette Saturday.
Adrian Stevens led the Golden Eagles with 15 Wisconsin opens its big 10 conference schedule
at Nebraska Wednesday.
Marquette is off until Saturday when it travels to Purdue.
The Badger women's basketball team picked up a win and it was a big one over a conference
opponent and a conference opponent that is rated at number 20.
Gifted Jenna scored 14 and grabbed 15 rebounds and Ronnie Porter recorded a double double
Wisconsin beat 20th rated Michigan State 78 64 in the opener of the big 10.
The Badger volleyball team qualified for NCAA regional semifinals for the 13th year in a
role.
A Friday sweep of North Carolina gives the Badgers an 11 game winning streak.
They advanced to next week and competition in Austin, Texas, Wisconsin's record is 26
and 4.
The Badger men's hockey team with a 9-2 win over Notre Dame on Saturday and the Badger
women scored a 6-1 victory on the ice over Ohio State.
