Today in Girls Basketball, it was New Glare as defeating River Valley 50-43. Abundant
Life St. Ambrose got by Wisconsin Heights 68-24 and Oregon oversaw prairie 61-30. High
School Boys Basketball, Platteville 66 Columbus 51 and it was Oregon getting the win against
Barobu 70-37. NCAA football playoffs today, a couple of our Wisconsin teams lost. North
Central Illinois defeated LaCrosse 35-27 and a playoff game featured Bethel of Minnesota
defeating Platteville of Wisconsin 35-24. You'll believe River Falls is still rolling
after a win over St. John's of Minnesota 42-14. Today in college basketball in the state,
it was a win for Steven's point over North Central Minnesota 78-65 and Calvin defeated
Ashkosh 89-52, Bethany Lutheran over River Falls 82-80.
In Big Ten Basketball today, there was a bit of an upset as Iowa State knocked off
number one Purdue 81-58. Louisville 87-76 over Indiana. Duke beat Michigan State 66-60.
Also Ohio State over Northwestern 86-82. Though Wisconsin Badger is claimed victory
John Blackwell scored 30 and the Badgers crews to a 96-76 win over Marquette. Blackwell
made eight of 17 shots including six of 12 from three point range and eight of 10 free
throws for the Badgers who improved to six and oh at home. Andrew Rody had 17 points
and four steals for Wisconsin. Adrian Stevens had 15 to lead Marquette.
Elsewhere Iowa State as mentioned sank 11 three pointers to propel themselves to a dominant
81-58 victory. Texas Tech linebacker Ben Roberts had two interceptions after half time
