Here's a look at Southwestern Wisconsin sports. I am Phil Ne. Today is a big day for Riverdale and
basketball girls basketball teams. They get the opportunity to play at Pfizer forum in Milwaukee.
Here's Riverdale girls coach Larry Swigham coach Kenny from basketball brought the idea to us
last spring time. Just a way to generate some excitement in our programs. Which we are very excited to
do. Realistically we just had to sell tickets. Both programs had to sell 50 tickets to the
bucks game that evening. And that was kind of it. So this is going to be basketball's home game
and then our boys teams are going to match up and it's going to be I think that's mid-January
and that's going to be Riverdale's boys home home game. So we're doing a boys girls thing.
We couldn't find a date to get both games on the same date but I know both programs are really
excited. Just nerves I guess at my end you know playing that first conference game. This early
end of the season in a in a special kind of venue in a rivalry game with it being
basketball. It should be a lot of really really fun things there. We also played the next day
right away against North Crawford. And so yeah we're just going to kind of really see where we're at
really early this season. Riverdale girls coach Larry Swigham his team battles
basketball today at one o'clock at Pfizer forum games this evening in the area in
Girls Basketball new Lisbon plays at LaFarge Westby at Brookwood Wisconsin Heights at Clinton.
Weston, Ithaca plays one o'clock center at one o'clock center and Belmont is at Belleville.
Other girls games Highland at Seneca Southwestern at Benton River Ridge at Phenomore and
Plateville plays at Dubuque, Himstad. Lots of girls basketball over the weekend including
the Beaver Dam classic cuba city won a game against Lakeland 7736 on Saturday. Many boys teams
will open up tomorrow night in boys basketball Hillsboro at Kikapoo but Shelley and Adam's
friendship Mount Hora plays at River Valley in the season opener Wisconsin Heights home against
abundant life. Viroqua at Cashton Royal will be at Ithaca Brookwood at LaFarge. It's also Phenomore
at River Ridge, WaterChown at Sock Prairie, Barnabelle at Landcaster. Southwestern opens up at our
Gile, Portage at Barrel Boo Riverdale is at Highland. That will be a varsity only game though JV
tomorrow night. It's Riverdale at Highland at seven o'clock. Boschabell travels to Scholesberg
one o'clock center is at Weston and coming up tomorrow night on the radio Muston will be at
Richland Center in area boys basketball. The Packer defense locked down the Minnesota
Vikings in Sundays 23 to six decision at Lambo Field. Immanuel Wilson rushed for 107 yards and two
touchdowns while standing in for the injured Josh Jacobs. The Vikings managed just four total yards
on 15 plays in the second half while losing for the fifth time in six games. Minnesota quarterback
JJ McCarthy was sacked five times. Here is coach Matt LaFlaura talking about his team's effort.
All three phases contributed to that win. It's never easy going against the division rival and
a team that has to be this twice in row at Lambo. So that felt really good and told them you can
enjoy it for a couple hours but really today's Wednesday in our world so that it's a quick turnaround.
So guys got to try to get their bodies back. We'll get together as a team tomorrow and we're
off and on to Detroit. Here is quarterback Jordan Love talking about his team's defense.
It was amazing. You know, I think you hold a team to six points. You know, it's great and to be able
to come up with so many turnovers like that, especially in the second half, you know, it was a big time job
by everybody on the defense and obviously I'm not sure how many sacks we have but you know,
they're getting after him and so great job by them. Green Bay doesn't get a lot of rest as they'll
play a Detroit Thursday in the Thanksgiving game. Detroit doesn't get a lot of rest. They played
an overtime game in one yesterday against the New York Giants elsewhere. Baltimore was a winner
over the Jets 23 to 10. Shoggle Bears getting a win against Pittsburgh. That final score was 31 to
28. It was Pittsburgh playing without Aaron Rogers who set out the game. He might own the Bears
but the Steelers don't. Rogers was sidelined by a broken left wrist. Mason Rudolph started in
his place and tried to rally the Steelers late but they came up short in the loss. Rogers got hurt
last week at a win ever since an addy. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says it was a prudent decision
to sit Rogers. He thinks the veteran quarterback should be ready next weekend when Pittsburgh host
Buffalo. The Steelers fell to six and five and into a first place tie with the Baltimore Ravens
in the AFC North also a win yesterday for Kansas City and over time over Indianapolis 2320
New England 26 Cincinnati 20 Seattle over Tennessee 30 to 24 Cleveland beat Las Vegas 2410 Jacksonville
went and over time over Arizona 2724 Atlanta 2410 over New Orleans Brandon Aubrey kicked a 42-yard
field goal is time expired after Dak Prescott rallied Dallas from a 21 point deficit and the Cowboys
beat the Eagles 24 21 in a mistake filled thriller. The Cowboys converted on their third tie breaking
chance of the fourth quarter. The win extended Prescott's home winning streak against NFC East
opponents to 19 in Dallas's first game at AT&T Stadium since the death of defensive end
Marshawn Neeland. The Eagles are still in good shape to be repeat winners in the NFC East
but the Super Bowl champs offense reverted to the form that has frustrated AJ Brown.
And also last night it wasn't much of a game. Well, basically it was over at halftime the LA Rams
beat Tampa Bay 34 to seven. The badgers have taken down a ranked opponent by winning Saturday's home
game against Illinois 2710. Running McDerry and Dupree carried the ball 17 times for 131 yards and
two touchdowns while them going 84 yards. It was senior day at Camp Randall Stadium and Wisconsin
controlled the game most of the way. Illinois came in rated 21st nationally and was led by former
UW coach Brett Belima. Wisconsin travels to Minnesota Saturday for this year's border battle
rivalry game. The badger hockey team with a win by sweep over Michigan State over with the weekend
badger associate head coach Todd Kenna. The gutsy effort. There's a lot of guys whether it's a
plot of Chuck that's been hurt to come back and play last night back to back. I was a little
concerned with his minutes how he would come out tonight and I thought he was a warrior tonight.
So a lot of gutsy effort like I say, block shots, little things that's winning hockey.
The Bucks will try to end a four game losing streak when the Portland Treblasers visit the
Pfizer forum tonight. Milwaukee lost to the Red Hat Detroit Piston Saturday, 129 1116. Superstar
Yanis out to the Cumpo was still on the sidelines. Ryan Rollins led the scoring attack with 24
and Bobby Portis chipped in 18. The defeat knocked the Bucks a game below the 500 mark for the first
time this season. Yanis won't be available tonight. Marquette led by just five points at halftime,
but won by 27 with a strong effort in the second half. Guard chased Ross at 27 points and 7 assists
as the goal and eels improve the record of four and three. Central Michigan was held to 36%
shooting in the second half, including one of 10 on three pointers. Saturday's win boosted
coach Shaka Smart's team over the 500 mark, but a strong Oklahoma sooner squad is next on the
schedule for a Friday non-conference showdown. Elsewhere yesterday in the NBA, it was Miami 127,
Philadelphia 117 Cleveland beat the Clippers, 120 105, Boston 138 Orlando 129. Oklahoma City got
the win against Portland 122 95, the Lakers 108, Utah 106, Phoenix 111, San Antonio 102, Atlanta
Beach Charlotte 113 110 and Toronto over Brooklyn 119. The Monday night game tonight has Carolina playing
football at San Francisco, and that is an update on sports. I am filming.
