The Southwest Conference, all conference volleyball selections have been named at this week.
Platteville went nine and one during the recent season.
River Valley and Richland Center tied at seven and three.
It was Dodgeville at four and six.
Lancaster three and seven and Prairie Dushin went zero and ten.
First team all conference volleyball players include
from Richland Center, senior Danica Pauls, and junior L.A.V.
Weiss.
Also from River Valley, junior Josie Mahoney, and Ella Myers, a junior.
From Platteville, Avery Richard, and Rihanna Die, both juniors and sophomore Quinn
temporarily.
From Dodgeville, senior Caitlin Esch, and sophomore Emma Dirty.
Second team all conference, SWC volleyball players.
From River Valley, Izzy Rhodes, a senior Richland Center's Tatum Razik, a senior.
From Platteville, junior Mia Hoosier, and Saraya Stone, a sophomore.
From Lancaster, senior Aisha McDonald, and junior Addison Morgan,
and a Wellington of Dodgeville, a junior rounds out the second team.
And the Albumension Squad includes from River Valley, Brooklyn Stokes, a senior,
from Richland Center, Rainy Walsh, and Taylor Wirtz, both seniors,
and Adeline Wirtz, a freshman.
From Prairie Dushin, junior Claire Kennedy makes the squad,
along with Platteville's Maggie Gravant, a senior Landcaster,
senior Lauren Rukoff, and Dodgeville senior Kylie Stodola.
The player of the year was Avery Richard, a junior from Platteville,
and the coach of the year, Platteville head coach Denise Barringen.
Speaking of volleyball, WIA State Tournament Action really gets in full force today,
especially for the girls' teams at the Rush Center in Green Bay.
So Division V action will get underway this morning at nine,
with Newman Catholic playing Florence and St. Ambrose against Rib Lake.
Later on this morning, in Division IV, Heritage Christian plays Blair Taylor,
and Regis will take on Montelo.
The girls' Division III action is not begin until tomorrow morning.
Watertown Luther Prep will take on Luther, and Barron will play Manitouac Lutheran.
And Division II, Girls' Volleyball on Friday morning, features Sock Prairie and Luxembourg Casco,
and Graften against Wapaka. Division I semi-finals will be getting
then a little bit later on. The quarterfinals are played today.
This evening, Divine Savior Holy Angels plays Steven's Point Area Schools.
Wannake will battle Kimberly, O'Connabalock faces Oak Creek,
and Hamilton versus Verona.
And the WIA State Soccer Tournament for Boys is well underway,
and today games will include Brookfield East and Madison West at 11 o'clock this morning,
and Marquette at Hudson, in Division I playing this afternoon.

Volleyball action in the Church League on Monday.
It was free methodist one topping Bethel Lutheran, two games to one,
Church of the Nazarene two down to Boschabell Assembly of God, two games to one,
Richland Baptist Temple three defeated Church of the Nazarene one, two games to none,
and five points Lutheran got the win over Baptist Temple I, two games to one.
On Tuesday, Bulewesley and Blank Baptist Temple five, two games to none,
Grace Community Topped of Vocal Bible Church two, two games to none, Lighthouse Chapel
Shutout Richland Baptist Temple two, two games to none, Santa Maria got by free methodist two,
two games to one, and Hidden Valley Community down to Baptist Temple four, two games to one,
St. Mary's and a Vocal Bible Church one had the league buys.
Bowling scores from the merchant's bowling league,
Goblin Insurance had a 2906, Walsh's Ace Hardware a 2813,
Kelly's Coffee a 2786, Goblin Insurance 1000 and four,
Walsh's Ace Hardware a 986, AutoZone a 984, Jacob Layton had a 700 series,
Isaac Davis in a 636, Ray Linvig a 627.
Top Game Ken Nick's Junior Greg Shepp and Jeff Seckman all with 244s, Jacob Layton 243,
Dale Mortimer a 237 in the merchant's bowling league of last evening.
Marquette Coach Shaka Smarternd is 100th victory with the Golden Eagles Wednesday night,
his squad rolled past Southern, 182.
Senior Chase Ross scored a team high 23 and had 6 assists,
Milwaukee had a strong shooting night, connecting on 50% from the floor, and 39% on a 3 point shot.
The Eagles actually scored 38 points in the paint.
Smart Marquette team takes on Indiana Sunday at the United Center in Chicago.
In other basketball news, Bucks Point Guard Kevin Porter Jr.
is expected to be out of action for a month.
The team gave an official update on his condition Wednesday.
Porter had surgery in Colorado Monday to repair a knee injury suffered during training camp
on October 30th. He was already working his way back from an ankle injury suffered
during an October 22nd game against the Washington Wizards.

In NHL news, the NHL now has a 900 goal club. Charter member Alex Ovechkin,
of course, the Washington star pushed his record total to a new level last night,
scoring against the St. Louis Blues to reach 900. The milestone came 239 into the second period
Ovechkin was lurking in the offensive zone and was at the bottom of the right circle when he
backhanded and rebound and then got it passed a sliding goalie. The bench cleared to celebrate
the 40-year-olds accomplishment. Elsewhere on the state of Wisconsin scene, former Packers,
Cornerback, Traumaan Williams, and offensive lineman Earl Dotson will be officially inducted into
the team's hall of fame next July. Williams picked off 30 passes during his 10-year NFL career.
He was one of the most successful undrafted free agents in team history. Dotson also spent 10
years with a franchise and was the starting right tackle for Green Bay in Super Bowl 31.
The induction ceremony will be held July 30 in the Lambo field atrium.
And the Brewers have extended their media rights agreement with FanDuel Sports Network,
WISN TV reports. The team's games average just over 203,000 viewers representing a 33% increase
from the numbers from the 2024 season. FanDuel will broadcast all games not exclusively
televised nationally. The agreement announced Wednesday is official with Main Street Sports Group
