Flying has a man Larsen just to his left. Two men split wide. Jordan Gogger is now
the near side. Here's the staff. Back to throw Klein. He's looking for Gogger.
And he's going to be caught inside of the gallery. That's why 25 stops is by
the 20, the 15, the 10, and the touchdown from the valley. Jordan Gogger.
He really came in and again. It was powered up pretty well by the original
team. It was home coming football. We'll have details around that. Plus the
Brewers drop a game. They still have a magic number and the Packers will be in
prime time tomorrow. This sports report is brought to you on WRC OFM by

Good morning. It's time for sports on WRC OFM and WRC OFM. It was home coming
football at River Valley last night. First and ready to snap the ball. There it is.
And off gone to Larson, bumps his way, fighting his way toward the goal line. I think he's got it.
River Valley hosted rival Richland Center in that homecoming match up and
Philney was there. River Valley enjoyed a 28-6 win over Richland Center on
Friday night. It was homecoming day at River Valley and the Black Hawks had to come
back to win. Richland Center did a great job controlling the clock in the first
half and the Black Hawks only had two possessions. The Hornets scored on the
first drive of the game. They hit pay dirt with a 45 yard quarterback run by
Jaden Shepp. The extra point missed and it was six nothing. That score would not
change in the first half. The Hornets drove to the River Valley seven yard line
before time expired. Well, the Black Hawks come back started in the second half
on the opening possession. They capped off a long drive with a Thai Larson touchdown
run. The Ron Osborne extra point gave River Valley its first lead with
a 45-36 left in the third. The Hawks added to it with a long pass play by
quarterback Lucas Klein that was nearly intercepted before Kaden Plumbley pulled
it in for a 54 yard touchdown. River Valley added to the 14-6 lead with a
Lucas Klein to Jordan Gogger pass play that covered 64 yards. The final touchdown
was a four yard run by Kaden Plumbley. The Osborne kick made the final 28-6.
Quarterback Lucas Klein was six for 10 passing for 191 yards and two touchdowns.
Jordan Gogger had two passes caught for 79 yards to lead River Valley. For the
Hornets running back Brady Dosh ran the ball 23 times for 101 yards. With the
win, River Valley's now five and one overall four and oh in the Southwest
Conference. They will travel to Plattville for week seven action. Richland
center fell to two and four overall one and three in the Southwest. The Hornets

Gavin Locke hit two doubles and scored the go ahead run, and the Cincinnati
Reds defeated the Milwaukee Brewers last night, 3-1 in Milwaukee, and in the
process, they overtook the New York Metz for the third nationally wildcard spot.
Cincinnati's win at New York 6-2 lost to Miami enabled the Reds to tie the
Metz in the standings. However, the Reds vined for the first postseason
birth since 2020, owned the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Metz. The
Reds handed a rare loss to Milwaukee's Quinn Priester after he had set a
Brewers record by winning 12 straight decisions. Aaron Nola took a perfect game into
the sixth inning, helping the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Minnesota twins
3-1 last night in Philly. Nola struck out nine and allowed just two hits over
eight innings. He moves into second place on Philadelphia's career strikeout
list, passing Hall of Famer Robin Roberts. Despite injuries and inconsistency,
Nola showed the potential postseason value for the NL East Champions.
Manager Rob Thompson considers using him out of the bullpen in the playoffs.
And Mundo Sosa and Alec Baum contributed to the Phillies offense, Joan Duren earned
his 30-second save for the Phillies. Micah Parsons celebrated signing the
lucrative contract extension that accompanied his trade to the Green Bay
Packers with several of his suddenly former teammates with the Dallas Cowboys.
Standout left guard Tyler Smith was among them. Now Smith is one of five
starters preparing to block Parsons in a game. That's something each of them has
done in practice during all or part of the previous four seasons. The new
experience comes Sunday night when the Packers visit the Cowboys exactly one
month after the trade. That game can be heard on WRC OFM 100.9 Sunday
with the pregame at 5 p.m. kick set for the 715 time frame.
Josh Jacobs believes it's only a matter of time before the Packers get their
running game going. It certainly would help if Green Bay's line could get
healthier and develop some cohesiveness, but it doesn't look like that will be
happening anytime soon. The Packers are averaging just 3.4 yards per
carry. That's good enough for 28th in the NFL. They figure to be missing three
of their top seven linemen when they visit Dallas on Sunday night.
